I am not able to get my Adsense account approval for my Hubpages URL.
Please guide me the steps
There are several reasons that you have not been approved for adsense.
1. You are from India. People from Asia and India generally take longer to get approval since those countries have a lot more spammers.
2. Your hubs are mostly poetry. Creative writing doesn't earn money - because it rarely attracts visitors from search engines. You won't earn money by having other site members view your hubs - it takes external traffic.
3. Your hubs are low quality. The one post I saw that wasn't a poem looked about 150 words long with no extras.
A quality hub should be:
►500-1500 words
►Have a photo or two
►Have some other media such as polls, quizes, videos etc
►Use a range of capsules, and break the text up into multiple text capsules.
Thanks A lot for the update and suggestions.
I would like to submit more on the same point by point of your advise.
With poems it is very difficult to reach 500 words.
I have started placing photographs
I will add polls etc.
I have removed all short poems
But I am not able to get convinced on point 2.
As the fact is in just 7 weeks I have more than 6500 visitors.
And 77 % are through search engines as per Google Analytics Statistics
Need your suggestions
You are from India. Google will not review your Adsense application until you have been on HubPages for at least six months. Period.
Maybe you could make hubs longer by combining poems in to a theme. For example 5 poems about birds. Then you could also try to earn some revenue with links to bird products like calendars from Amazon.
The waiting period for India and China is 6 months, meaning that you should have a web presence (e.g. HubPages account) for at least that long prior to applying for Adsense. Most likely, that was the reason that your application was not approved. You will have plenty of time to write some quality hubs of 500 words or longer.
Open a blogger.com account and start posting your poems on that blog. After posting content for 1-2 months you can apply to google adsense using your blogger.com account. Avoid applying from Hubpages adsense application link.
Quality is subjective,so don't bother about those 500 words. You can continue to write the poems the way you want. You should add more content capsules like image, polls, video and RSS feeds to bypass the filters.
Thanks SF ...
I never shared my writings to anyone but I am now in deep crisis as my wife is having critical liver problem and I need money. Some one suggested this path of putting my expressions on net, and get some money from this place and so I am here.
I needed an early solution I am thankful to you once again for giving encouraging reply / solution.
It is only seven weeks for me here on hubpages and it say I have more than 7500 visits to my pages
- Regards
Capt Semant
That number is impressive and pretty incredible for poetry. How have you been advertising yourself? (Twitter? Facebook?)
Thanks for the appreciation...
I am totally new so have not used any advertising methods as such only informed my fans and friends through mail...and they in turn have informed their friends and so on...
I am thankful to my new friends on Hubpages too for giving me encouragement....
Unfortuantely artistic work on hubpages doesn't tend to earn very much, and it also takes a while to earn when you write product hubs.
7500 visits is a good start though you just have to figure out what these people want to buy, get Google Analytics going and check out what keywords people are using, you might be able to make a sale or two!
Dear Friends,
I am really feeling bad about this now...you can see in just two months I have got more than 100K page views but My adsense account is still showing pending...
Why for some even genuine has to suffer...anyway out...
@Sentimental,
Sadly, you will have to wait out the period of six months or whatever (it can be considerably less than six months - provided you have good content - which you DO have).
Skyfire had given the perfect advice - Start putting some of your poems on a free blog on blogger.com. Persist for some time - just take care that the content on the blog is exclusive to that blog - not published anywhere else. Keep sharing the poems on that blog as you do it here on HP. Apply to Adsense after sometime - in the meanwhile, try diversifying with Amazon.
Anyway, congratulations for achieving the 100K mark - it is a remarkable feat with 21 hubs! Just keep promoting the way you do!
Thanks for the support
I think there is something else which is stopping my approval...I am attaching the mail I got yesterday from Adsense...
Please suggest the way forward
Mail from Adsense
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into AdSense at this time.
We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.
Issues:
- Domain ownership not evident
---------------------
Further detail:
Domain ownership: To complete our review of your website, we need to confirm that you have access to the HTML source code of the URL you've submitted or were given access to AdSense via a third-party platform.
I. If you host your own website or can edit the HTML code, please complete the following steps:
1. Access the HTML source code of www.hubpages.com.
2. Create a separate page on the site and paste the snippet:
<p>This post confirms my ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense program policies and Terms and Conditions.</p>
3. Resubmit the application as described below after replacing www.hubpages.com in the 'Website URL' with the URL of the page on which you have pasted the snippet.
In seems that you have entered the wrong URL (www.hubpages.com) in your application. Since you are not the website owner, you need to use the URL for your profile page, which would be:
http://hubpages.com/profile/sentimental
The instructions about "pasted the snipped" are not applicable here, as you are not the webmaster.

I don't know how to change the URL on Google AdSense. When I go to google.com/adsense, it tells me to login, which I do successfully, and then it takes me straight to the resubmit screen for the HubPages account, which has been denied so frequently, because I do not have enough content. I...
