I've got a couple Hubs on the topic, if you want to look.

Depending on your topics, go to where the market is, such as if you write about Parenting, go to forums and social networks where parents hang out.  Try to become a respected contributor to the community and occasionally direct traffic here.

Of course, the best traffic tends to be from the search engines.  You must work on linkbuilding and do your keyword research and on-page SEO.

I would recommend using SocialMarker.com to submit links easier. Sign up with some of the sites. Not all of them are the greatest though. Some may not allow you to submit hubpages and stuff. I use a handful of the sites on it though.

Ping your site as well whenever you update the content.

    I agree with tritrain!

And if you haven't already checked it out, I recommend reading our guide on Linking Etiquette: http://learningcenter.hubpages.com/hubp … etiquette/

It's quite helpful.  There are some other useful tips in the Learning Center that'll help you drive traffic.  It's all in this category: http://learningcenter.hubpages.com/cate … g-traffic/
