   I have been thinking a lot lately about opening a chatroom for hubbers. It will be on a server I already know about. Their chatrooms are similar to the old MSN chatrooms, but they have their own chat software, They're not pirates of the old MSN chats.
   
   What I would like to know is how many would be interested in chatting some.

   The site I am thinking of using is VSIXC. It's a very stable site with good servers. It will require a small download of their software. If I remember correctly it is under 1 MB. You must also register which is free. Also know that the name you register under will also be your handle in the chatroom.

   One of the biggest reasons for this is becauseof what happened with the Last One to Post thread. I don't blame Maddie for closing the thread. We all noticed how slow everything was here. If we get into a chatroom on a different server we could still chat and not affect Hubpages.

    Well it is a good idea I believe.  Parachat.com allows people to make their own free chatrooms, maybe that might work.

       It is almost identical to the old MSN chats. It isn't a pirate server like some others who use MSN's chat software for their chats. If I recall correctly you can get into the help desk without registering.

    We need a name for the chatroom. I would love to use Hubber's Hangout but not sure if HP would allow that.
    
    How about HubChat? All suggestions will be considered and a vote on it if we need to.

          If the shoe fits? That's the name of it right now but we can change that at a later date. I have it open just to get the hang of it and decide if we all like it or not.

    Everybody, this sounds like a great idea, but I haven't been able to sort out the software requirements and I just don't have time to fuss with it right now. I'll be back as soon as work permits. And thanks, Sir Dent--it's a fabulous idea.

    It isn't open at the moment. I can't stay there all the time myself. We need a name for it and then I need to know what category everyone would think is best to be listed under. Once everything is figured out I will create the room and register it so it will always be open.

    SirDent, I'm logging into VSIXc Chat but I can't find the HubChat room. It doesn't seem to be on the list of registered chat rooms. Is anybody else having this problem? I really need doughnuts.

       I haven't been able to register the room yet. If you click the link it will create the room. This is the easiest way until I can get it registered. I am there now as a matter of fact.

    I would love to chat in a chartroom with people. But I have a better one if your buying it!
    
    Try this one, it requires a download and all but this is safe and trusted by over 100 Million!!! (different server) all you need for this is a server and you can register a nick, don't have to. If you do use this I can set up the chat for you, all the controls and stuff. I'm good at that, I did it for my last clan of on and off 70 people. I am sure IRC can hold all the Hubbers!

       If you can find a public server you can open it there! I don't even think you need to pay for it. I been using mIRC and IRC for 4 years and i'm pretty sure with the mIRC download it asks you to pay for it but you can just wait and keep using it (I have been).

    No, Shirley, I don't think by Baby is jealous of the "new me" or feels de-throned.  In fact, I think he could care less as long as I hold him while I'm typing!
    
    It was me who was getting jealous of everyone always changing their pictures--decided I wanted something new too!!
    
    Gads---I miss chatting with everyone here!  Can't wait to get going on the other site--it'll be up and in the tray from the time I turn the puter on in the morning until I shut it down late at night!!

       That's true for most I suppose. As for me I can only get in during the day in short spurts. At night I have more freedom to do so. I am going there now as a matter of fact.

       I just talked to an Admin at help desk. They can't email you your password but they deleted your account so you can re register. Write your password down this time please

    I finished the research I had to do, then popped into the chatroom to say good-night to everyone, but I was allllllllll alone again. 
    
    Tomorrow I have an article and blog to write, so not sure what time if at all I'll be there, but hopefully will get to talk to somebody soon.

             They could only delete your account ProCW. Just re register and everything will be fine. The admins can't access your password.

    Every time I try to get into the chatroom I get this message-----
    
    It seems that VSIXc OCX is not installed on your computer, or is not enabled in your browser.
