   I was there earlier when three of us were chatting.  Then it knocked me off and I could not get back in the last several times I tried.  This chat application acts wonky sometimes.

   Looks like there have ben some problems with you guys getting this chat thing operational.
   
   Google have just released their chat application.
   http://www.google.com/talk/
   
   You can either download a program, or just access it on the web without installing anything on your computer.
   
   Maybe that would work better for the chatterboxes here?

    I tried clicking the link that people have shown in the forum and it gave me the error that I didn't have VSIXc Chat set-up, but when I started my own hubpages chat room it gave me no issues... was it just that no one was on, or is there something wrong with the way I set it up?  I'm on right now under the chat room title Hub Chat in case anyone wants to come in and keep me company / check it out.

    Hmm. I don't know. The only problem I had was the vsix doesn't work on firefox because it uses this thing in IE - which is why I put the firefox addon "IE tab".
    
    Other than that it works fine and all.

    Yeah, I'm not too bright, I was trying to use it with FireFox...  Have you guys ever considered an IRC chat channel?  It's a lot easier, IMHO.

          Go to www.undernet.org to see if you can figure out a way to get online... if you have mIRC it will be easy.

    Oh I will...but atm I'm at work.  So you are on undernet...#hubpages....(making notes).  I'm on west coast time so I'll be cruising in around 7 p.m. my time.  Hope to see somebody there.

    I'll set it up so the channel is still open when you come on, not sure if people will be there, but at least we will have a continuous presence on the Undernet.  BTW, to connect guys on your mIRC page you'll type in: /server us.undernet.org   --- then once your connected you'll type in /join #hubpages   Hope this helps.

    I can't access the undernet server, it just stops.
    
    However I currently am on our OTHER irc chatroom.
    irc.mibbit.com
    channel # hubpages.
    
    Best part is that people without an irc client can still come by going to www.mibbit.com.

    Undernet stopped on me the first time as well.  Try using one of the random addresses...as in Random U.S. or Random EU.  That worked for me.

    I have just cut and pasted parachat onto my webpage.  This is so much easier because there is nothing to download and no searching for servers .
