You are yourself the answer of your question. Without publishing a single hub you have attracted so much attention and awarded with a hubber score of 76.

I'm assuming you mean "law of attraction" as in "The Secret", i.e. "Ask, Believe, Receive".

Several people have pointed out that the Secret is a rip-off of a variety of older versions, but missing out a vitally important component, i.e.

    "Ask, Believe, ACHIEVE, Receive".

The simplistic Law of Attraction really annoys me - it feeds into the sense of entitlement that seems to prevail in society today.  It simply shouldn't be enough to sit back and just believe in something and you will get it.

It also has a very neat get-out: if you use it and you get what you want, it works.  If you use it and you don't get what you want, you just didn't believe ENOUGH.  Pah.

Reminds me of religion really: if you  don't understand religion you obviously lack belief: otherwise you'd see the light!

I believe I can win the World Champs in Ballroom this year: I believe; I believe - honest  Ibelieve - Ill drop an update when it happens NOT !

I do think that you need quite al lot of self-belief to succeed in business and  don't t expect any of my family or friends will believe that I will make money online: until  I do.  And conversley if I ddin't believe  Icould  I wouldn't be spending the 100's of hours doing the work to achieve my goal!

Perhaps  I should stop with all the writing, key word research and promotion and just sit around saying  I believe  I will make $10 ,000 ths month LOL _ or as my mother would have said: God helps those who help themselves

I believe in the "Secret" from the movie. As a matter of fact I have the Dvd right in front of me on my computer, I meant to watch it again. Ever since I watched it I did what it suggested. I do not want to share the aspects of my personal life I have gotten from it but I really did get these things without working at all. I just waited and they came to me. I am a believer and I enjoy the fact of having it on my side.

    Lol premsingh!

There's something missing from the equation

want something badly = getting it

    Should be

Want something badly + work really really hard for it = getting it

This thread should be moved to the self-promotion forum.

And if there isn't one, there should be, as it would clean up a large portion of the rest of the forums.

A rare example of us being in complete agreement, Isabella.

Yes, I use the law of attraction almost every time I purchase something.

It manifests itself from a small strip on the back of my debit card, where little charged particles interact with and attract things that sense their presence.

And every time I do anything on my computer, the law of attraction is used by my hard disk to read and write data

And when I start my car, the law of attraction allows an electrical starter motor to turn over my engine.

The common name for this wonderful law of attraction is magnetism, and I would think that pretty well everyone in the modern world uses it daily.

By the way Rich, despite what your favourite marketing guru tells you, having an audio message begin when someone goes to visit your website is considered very bad manners by the majority of internet users.
What most people will do is close down the web page, never to return.

And that's a practical lesson for you in the law of repulsion. :-)

Positive thinking is very powerful.  I've written a hub about how it actually rewires your neural pathways, reinforcing optimism and contentment.  You can change your perspective on and experience of the world by using self-affirmations and positive thinking.  However, a belief that you can influence external events over with you have no direct control simply by the power of the mind is, quite literally, wishful thinking.

That is so true.  I think this is how the "Law of Attraction" concept arose. If you feel positive, you're more confident, and are more likely to take action to achieve your goals.  If you feel negative, you're more likely to sit around, bemoan your lack of success and do nothing to change it.

Others look at those positive people and think it's just their attitude that has made them successful, not realising the amount of personal effort that went along with it.

thats what i mean. if you are positive thinker then you attract positive things too!. you become of what you think most!

No, you've missed my point entirely.   Positive people attract positive things because they get up and take ACTIONS which attract positive things.  Big difference.
