OK, I am new to hubpages and I am so appreciative that I found it. Of course I want to make money--to be a "paid" writer--oh yeah. But while I am trying to figure it all out, does anyone know of a site where one can just write for the love of it and get people to respond to your sincere desire, for lack of a better term, to produce inspiring articles?
Right here. You can write about anything you want and get plenty of feedback from your fellow hubbers. You will love it here.
Thank you Barbara Kay.. maybe I'm not choosing the right topics or something because I'm not getting much response. On some hubs nothing. If you tell me to be patience I will but I am a bit baffled.
You can write here for the joy of it. I don't write for money. I write for the sake of writing. I write stupid stuff, satire, absurdities, spoofs, general silliness, and yet there are people who read. I know there are lots of Christian writer types who have nice followings of people who like to talk about that stuff. There are poets, memoir writers, lots of stuff. Just read around, make comments on things that truly touch you or irritate you or make you laugh. Do that, and relax and become part of the community.
You will find an audience, but you do have to patient. It takes a long time for people to find you. You have to read a lot though, and participate in the community. You will start to find people who are interested in the same sorts of things that you are, who are "kindred spirits" as it were. It takes time, but it does happen.
You will get the hang of it soon Dee, even without realising it. If i can achieve the bit i have, most people can.
Give it some time. 3 months is still early days for most. Keep on writing and reading through learning hubs. Plus the members of this community are great. They will help you as you go along. All you need do is ask on the forums. You'll be impressed with the responses.
Welcome to HP Dee.
PS. You can write here just for the love of it. Only 'problem' is you'll be earning along the way
Share with us your joys and sorrows, your passion and experience. You just write, they(readers)- will come.
You're at the right place for publishing inspirational articles and more. Welcome to Hubpages. Will be looking forward to reading your hubs
I would say that you're in the right place. You can write on all topics. If you interact with other Hubbers, you always get more readers. You can use google keyword reserach to find topics. So you can find out which topic is often sought. To deliver an answer on this topic, draw to readers. Link to your text with other relevant sites within and outside hubpage. Do you to this specialist. Combine Adsense and Amazon to your hub and earn money. Actually quite simple.

Is writing hubs about making money or for the love of writing?I don't write hubs that will get me hundreds of advertisement clicks, I write because I love writing. Why do you write hubs?

If making money wasn't an option on HubPages, would you still write for this site...No matter if you make pennies a day or dollars. This question isn't about how much money a hubber makes. I'm just curious how many hubbers would still hub if they weren't earning money for the pub or to get some...

Sounds like there are lots of changes going on, and it seems that many Hubbers are discouraged. If you were starting from scratch on the site, would you still put in the effort to build your portfolio of hubs here, or would you write primarily for other sites?

For some it's the ability to share your thoughts, for others it's to purely write, and then there's the people with dollar signs over their eyes. Which one are you or are you different?

I have just started, so I dont expect it in the near future, but how many hubs, or how many months before you start making money? How much traffic is considered to be good traffic? Right now I am getting about an average of 75 hits per day on 4 hubs. Is that good? What...
