Without any particular reasons traffic to my hubs drop 50%, is it because of Cristmas?
What do you mean 'without any particular reason'? Christmas - that's the reason! People are with their families and friends instead of being online...hopefully they'll get back online for the after Christmas sales!
It has been quite slow. I hope it picks up soon.
Yes everyone is offline celebrating, with family, playing with their presents!
My traffic fell by about 1/3 and I was expecting it - I will probably only be online for 20 minutes today and I am always on the web!
You are not the first to notice. It's indeed because of Christmas. It's funny how this ever-present internet is still affected by daily things
I thought things seemed a little slow online today
After New year again it will be restored to original traffic..
Those of us posting to forums on Christmas Day are badly in need counseling.
If you're targeting to christian crowd or anyone who is celebrating new year/Christmas then expect low traffic upto first week of January. Again these things are based on geographic location, niche and the place where you're hosting the content.
I sually see big drops around christmas and new years, but around these days traffic is still prety steady.
And it depends on the topic of your hubs as well. My day has been the largest ever and still going.
I was surprised to see it, but my traffic is holding strong!
Today was the highest traffic day this week for me. And also surprisingly, it's not my holiday hubs that are thriving, but the same ones that usually drive the majority of my traffic.
And AdSense earnings didn't fall off, either!
It was a nice Christmas surprise
My cooking themed hubs did well, I guess people were looking for a new recipe for their holiday entertaining.
Yeah, my traffic has plummeted due to Christmas. There are a few times of the year where you can expect this. The 4th of July is usually a bad time as is the end of August when kids go back to school. Think about the times of the year when people are preoccupied with things: Christmas shopping, being outside in the summer sun, making sure their kids make it to school on time, etc...
Now with this in mind, think of some things you can write about that can give you a little oomph these times of the year: articles ABOUT these times of the year.
Try writing articles about school supplies or where to see the best 4th of July fireworks displays. That way, you'll get some traffic.
It's bazaar, my traffic increased and hub scores too. Probably destroy me in massive drop tomorrow
Seasons Greetings to all!
Well my Hub, "How to Dispose of Xmas Wrapping Paper Without Adding to Landfill Problems" is seeing an increase in traffic.
Although my other Hub, "How to Purchase and Use Xmas Paper in a Safe Manner" has dropped slightly.
Both my traffic and earnings have dropped considerably. These are bad times (for me). I guess my expectations were too high.
Traffic dismal......hope after the holidays things will come back to normal!! Best wishes to all those with poor traffic ...chin up and cheers!! Good times ahead!!

Jeez, I check my stats this morning and it's a disaster. I run to Quantcast and discover it's all of HubPages and not just me. What the heck is going on? I even rushed to a calendar website to see if there was something special about May 1; there wasn't. I checked the news for anything that could...

I'm guessing it's because school started this week, but today my page views have taken a drastic drop. They have been cut by more than half...is this happening to anybody else?

I've been noticing quite a drop in traffic the past 2 days. Is it just me?

Hey, Fellow Hubbers. For the past one week I have been experiencing agonizing drop in my page views. It is about two third cut. Such a drastic drop in pageviews is difficult to imagine. Obviously, my income has also dropped to about one third. Any suggestions/remedies? Has any body else experienced...

Do articles about "list's" and "Top Ten" ok on HubPages?I was thinking about doing a series of Hubs that are based around "lists" or "top ten" and was wondering if these are decent on Hubpages? I used to have a couple blogs and I remember they brought in ok...

My earnings on Hubpages are approximately down to one quarter of their usual level. Has anyone else experienced this, or know why this is?I hope it's just a temporary glitch.
