Welcome Sara, you will get a great deal of information in the faq and in the forum as well.
@ Wrylit: Glad to have you back. I hope you were still able to retrieve all your info from the computer after the disaster.

I flagged her profile. She is 15 years old, which is contrary to HP!s stated terms of use (must be 18).

Of course nobody bothers to read that and as we don't need to prove age in any way, what is the point?

For Google AdSense you also need to be 18.

Perhaps legally it is problematic for HubPages to earn money (ads) with the hard work of minors.

I'm guessing it's because 18 is the age when people can legally sign agreements and be held to them.

Blimey.. that must be the shortest "hello I'm here", followed by an "oh no you're gone".

    Respect.

Glad I trod carefully the first couple of days...

That's because there's no 'too old' rule, only 'too young' rules, mark. tongue big_smile lol

Good thing there is no "too old". Quite a few of us would be wearing clown wigs in hopes that would distract from the wrinkles smile

On that note, I wonder what the age of the oldest hubpage user is?

I am speechless.  You wait till I do a Kickin', Bangin' SurfBoard hub with some hip hopster music records.  Then you'll see how young I am.

Hip hopster? Aren't those a style of jeans?

Might be.  I haven't fully researched this yet.

To let y'all know how old I am, I remember when VCRs were $1000.  I remember candy cigarettes.  I remember cigarette vending machines.  I remember when Saturday Night Fever was edited to PG rating.  I remember when the U.S. pulled out of Vietnam.  I remember Nixon's resignation speech.

I remember being told to shut up when it came on the radio news that JFK had been shot!
I was old enough to talk but not old enough to understand the gravity of what had happened.
