Hi Hubbers,
I hope I'm posting my introduction in the correct place; if not, someone point me in the right direction?
So far, I'm psyched over this site. Though there are tons of warnings "out there" for "serious" writers to stay away from these types of sites, I have a tendency to make my own mind up on such things. Even if there's not a lot of money to be made here, I can see that it is going to keep me in the daily habit of writing. (What's better: Writing daily and keeping the info hidden away in a puter file, or writing daily'ish and posting it to share with others? No brainer, right?)
I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you, reading your hubs, and just be general part of the community.
If I'm not here, you'll find me on my own website (which you are all invited to use!) It is still under construction, but, like so many other things ... I'm working on it!
Lynda
Hi! I'm a newbie too! Trying to get into the habit of having others read my work. (Eek!) and writing more often. Seems like a supportive crowd here.
Hello rhartlandsberg and welcome to you too!!!
hey there, Lynda! Welcome to Hubpages...the land where anything can and will happen!
Welcome to hubpages Lynda and rhartland - Im sure you will be active community members.. we love to write with our write to love x
Welcome Linda !! Work Hard Have fun but above all
BE KOO EL!!!!
Welcome !!! There's lots to read, write about and tons of fun. Enjoy yourself!
Welcome to the best writing site - hope you spend mny happy hours on Hubpages!
Welcome to HubPages, Lynda you found a wonderful site, awesome behind-the-scenes team and great authors!
She's too busy writing, Tant. 2 days and 13 hubs already. I'm in awe.
Welcome, Lynda!
bloody hell, 13 hubs, two days, and she didn't use my referal link
Welcome!
And now tell us your secrets about the fast writing! You must have tons of inspiration!
I do.
My home is filled with special need and/or displaced teens (mostly boys), and they are a source of tremendous inspiration. In fact, so much happened yesterday that I'll be busy writing today till midnight.
And, I've been fortunate to live an extraordinary life so far. SO much to draw from.
That's one reason I joined here; I love to write, but I don't particularly enjoy the submission process involved with traditional publishing. It's been good to me, so I should probably give it more respect -- I'm just too impatient. I want to get my stuff out there to help others, even if it means giving up a paycheck.
Hello Linda Gary, and welcome to HubPages, have fun, and continue to write. I look forward to reading your hubs.
Welcome!!! By the way your FSBO link isn't working on your profile.
SOOO glad you pointed that out. THank you, thank you, thank you. I'll go check on it immediately...
Okay ... fixed it.
THanks again!

Welcome! you are right - writing on a regular basis is important. I've really increased my regular writing since I've been here.
OMG. What an overwhelming welcome! Thank you, everyone!
I TOTALLY forgot that I'd posted here, and when I remembered, I couldn't find my way back. True blonde.
I posted my 17th hub yesterday:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Credit-Card-Ref … ter-to-You
and woke this morning to a "needs revision" flag for it being "overly promotional." I was like, "What?" I'd only used links to credit my sources. Period. So, I removed all but two, and re-submitted. But, REALLY, it makes me totally uncomfortable to publish anything ignoring the acceptable rules of writing / sourcing, etc.
My secret to writing so much / so fast? The first 5 or 6 were previously published in traditional mags, not online. Easy. The rest, well, yeah, I cranked those out. Answering unanswered questions on here is an easy way. That accounts for quite a few, if I remember correctly. (Seeing a theme here, re bad memory... LOL)
Again, THANK YOU everyone for such a great welcome. I look forward to reading, commenting, and getting to know many of you.
