I have been an Amazon member with ads on my hubs selling various things, (Mostly Music CDs) and I haven't made a single dime from them yet. I just checked my status, and it claims I have only had 7 ad clicks in more than a year. I find that hard to believe.
I am up to about $4.00 on Google, which is better than I was a couple months ago. I also checked my analytics and it appears I have had over 3,000 page views, yet according to my hubpages stats, I am still shy of 2,000.
I am pleased to see that my newest hub is doing very well. It's so cool to get positive feedback from people on what I write. I'm so glad that I joined, it's been a great experience, money or not.
It's free to include the Amazon ads, just leave them. You never know when they might take off. Just my opinion, people don't really buy CDs anymore. They download music a song at a time. Are you including MP3 downloads in your Amazon capsules? You might get a few more that way. Just a thought.

My hubs seem to have taken off suddenly and I can't think it's anything I've done. What is happening? Has yours done the same?

I think it was unfairly flagged for excessive promotion. I took a website off that linked to it twice, but I was not looking for backlinks, as I have more hubpages listed on that site than vice versa. I wish people would look into these things a little more carefully.

Every day (or almost every day), I go on to my Amazon Associates account to check stats. Today, I saw my income for the month to date had reduced from when I checked it yesterday. Thinking it was due perhaps to returns or simply a "blip", I went on a few times through the day and see it...
