I don´t really care much about which hubs appear on the hot hubs list but I honestly think that this "problem" would be ended if when one click on Hubs link it went directly to the Best hubs list (at least the "sexy" hubs wouldn´t be present there). If you ask me, I rather search for hubs on the best hubs list than on the hot hubs one but that´s me...
The hot hubs list will always be there like the best hubs list are now but at least it wouln´t appear first when we click on Hubs.
Conclusion: Change from http://hubpages.com/hubs/hot/ to http://hubpages.com/hubs/best/ on the front page "Hubs" link.
Now lets hear some opinions
I agree with funride.. Best would be best on front page. especially for visitors and new people, they might get the idea that those are the "norm" for HubPages and not look further if they don't think much of that kind of content.
Hey there....I agree I want to see the best first...not the ones that are hot...R
If funride says it's a good idea, then it's a good idea, hands down.
funride, you have my support!
In HubPages semantics, Hot = most traffic and Best = highest hubscores
So, if you change hot to best, how is that solving the problem and what are you going to call the hubs with the highest hubscores?
Sorry Relache, I don´t mean to change the designation. I just suggested to link directly to best hubs instead of hot hubs, that´s all. I never said to change the names, that wouldn´t make sense to me either. When one click on Hubbers it goes to Best and not to Latest so why not go to Best hubs instead of hot hubs when clicking on Hubs.
My Suggestion would be to Place the "BEST HUBS" First, the "TOP RATED HUBS" in second position, the "HOT HUBS" in third position and finally the "LATEST HUBS". I am talking about the position. BEST HUBS should be DEFAULT. At Present "HOT HUBS" is default that appears first when someone clicks on "HUBS"
At present it is : - HOT....BEST...LATEST
IT Should be: - BEST...TOP RATED...HOT...LATEST.
Cheers !!!!
Honestly I never even noticed the Best or Hot hubs until this entire controversy erupted. I had only looked at hubtivity or commented on peoples' hubs that I was fans of. Mostly that is still what I do now.
Hi Guidebaba, I can´t see the difference between "BEST HUBS" and "TOP RATED HUBS"...
Can you explain what do you mean by "TOP RATED HUBS", thanks.
Best Hubs: Liked and appreciated by everyone. More Thumbs Up..More Positive and favorable Comments. Traffic from outside Hubpages mostly from search engines.
Top Rated Hubs: Most visited and higher Hubscore.Top Rated doesn't means that it is the Best only because it has got More Hubscore. Many of the Hubs Related to women get higher hubscore than the hard-worked genuine Hubs.
Hope this is OK.
Cheers !!!
Ray
I think also there should be a change. My hubs will never be hot (or best or top rated), but they may be cool.
So how about a category for cool hubs.
I think your hubs are great. Honestly at the end of the day I think it is more important if we have genuine people commenting on our hubs .
The longer I've been here, the less I care about this sorta stuff.
I can only imagine that the Hub staff feels the same way.
Wow, SweetiePie, thanks so much for your compliment.
I might add I don't like "hot hubs". Reminds me too much of hot tubs.
I like hot tubs. . . better than hot hubs. I think as long as they keep recirculating, the tubs and the hubs, they are good.
Perhaps it´s ok but it would make things more difficult to the HP staff . What I have suggested it´s only to change the link of Hubs on the front page so we could see best hubs first instead of Hot hubs. But as I said in the beggining:
I just logged on and the first thing I see is the Hot Hubs page and top of the Hot Hubs is "The pros and cons of shaving your pubic hair".
Need one say more? Aren't you proud to be a hubber?
Umm, not clear if you are pro or contra?
And what this has to do with being proud to be a hubber?
PS I personally is pro for women and contra for men

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...

Is there a way to exclude hubbers who do not have idled hubs from the 24 hour review for new articles? This may be the wrong place to enter this request, and maybe it is an impossibility. It would be nice if staff could facilitate the process of newly written material.

If I see an error on someone's hub, should I tell them? Or is that bad HubPages etiquette?I'm talking about a spelling error or something similar.

I often intend to put a module either within my hub, or at the end, that might include some standard text/a link, e.g. that says "Copyright Me (Year) - Please do not copy and paste this article, but feel free to post a link using this url ....." or "Join Hubpages by clicking...

There's a thread currently active about marketing and getting people to our hubs... and that sparked a thought.Would it be possible to set up code and allow an author to mirror a hub on another site of ours?I like Hubpages and want to keep my articles here, but at the same time I've got nearly 20...

First, I want to say that I looked at a few of my hubs with the new template and was thrilled! The soft gray background was very nice and the changes are good. The only thing I saw that I wanted to change on first impression was the title of the related hubs.At the end of the current hub, the...
