Not a role model, in my opinion. The Hubber is following others in droves, and suffers a low author score as a result.

well, that is not much lower.... And this person did this with only 1 hub in hand.... That's the shocking thing.... Public can be so blind... never thought of it.

I feel that having 1,000 followers would lose the personal touch. It felt rather mechanised when Five One Cows sent the same fan mail to me that he sends to everyone saying that his Stinky collection is doing whatever and saying 'you're cool'. I just deleted it.

      1. itech profile image76
itechposted 7 years agoin reply to this

Well, I didn't deleted because he googled his own mind before writing such mail (So that he can send to everyone) and is not copied from any other sources.... LOL lol

He's also lost a number of hubs...he followed me the other day and when I went to look I'm sure he had a lot more than 1.

I mean 1000 followers is great and all.. But most of those people that followed back aren't really going to pay attention to anything this guy writes.. If he writes anything at all.

I'd rather get organic followers, just like I'd rather get organic views on my hubs.

      Hello Mikeydoes,
You are really a great Person.... 100k views in just 4 months of joining.... Interesting...
Organic things bring us the real joy that we need.

Just little bit curious to know about your strategies...and...Statistics... after such achievement.

I've been pretty open about most of achievements.

All I did was tried to get an understanding of what works.

The amount of time I spent on a hub varied. Basically these 4 months have all been me testing and learning. I can't say that I spent a lot of time on my hubs. However some I did spend plenty of time on, and those are actually ones that get the fewest views!

After looking at other sites through search, I found that even with the little information I provide, it is much better than what comes up on the first page of Google. If I can't top it, I don't bother.

My suggestion is try all different types of hubs. Experiment. If it fails.. Who cares? I did at first, but when I realized I can update my hubs, I really stopped caring.

Also on some of my worst hubs that I thought sucked(and I really still think they do), I had people comment and say "great hub! Wealth of info!" That is when I realized no one actually reads what I write!

If you have any particular questions it is easier to just contact me personally.

Having no followers isn't necessarily a bad thing, nor will it cripple you. Most people have separate accounts with NO followers, and those are the big money makers for them!

Well, Followers r good, only if, they r going to read our articles....

You Said : The articles on which u spent more time were not much successful than the other ones -- Means u tried various methods to get more traffic on them, while maintaining their qualities.

-- Happened with me on 40% of my Hubs (And I don't have too many).

          You Also Said :
Also on some of my worst hubs that I thought sucked(and I really still think they do), I had people comment and say "great hub! Wealth of info!" That is when I realized no one actually reads what I write!

          -- That's the Interesting part...

I Will Contact u for more queries via Hub-pages Contact form.

Ya, I know, we can easily open a another account on hubpages... But, are we allowed to link same 'adsense account' on more than one profile, I'll give it a try.

Thanks for Good conversation. cool smile

1,000 readers is a drop in the bucket.  To make money, you need many thousands of readers.  It's flattering to have many followers but I don't expect to make one cent from them - Hubbers don't click on ads.

Yes, you can link the same Adsense account to more than one profile. In fact that's all you can do, because you're not allowed to have more than one Adsense account.

Well, Followers may not click on our ads but the numbers can make a good impression on outside visitors.

Actually, the only people who are impressed are other Hubbers.

I've found that most outside visitors don't even look at your stats, and if they do, they don't understand what they mean!

You are right because before i join hubpages , i wasn't understand what mean of this number (hub score and hubber score) , all i was  care about is the content of the hub.

  5. simeonvisser profile image81

It is funny because although that user has many followers, no more hubs will be published so all they will get are less important updates from that user.

My understanding is as follows: The follower of many potential followers has now followed so many, and been followed by so many, that his author score has dropped below 75 and all of his links have become no-follow, which makes him even harder for me to follow. Do you follow?

I see you are still plagiarising content from al over the place and publishing it as your own work.

His single hub is very long and could easily be divided into 12 hubs but still his indiscriminate following and being followed back make no sense.

I wouldn't bother following his example, Hubpages followers are nice to have, and I appreciate every person who truly thoguht that I was worth their time and attention, but those who just follow in a vain attempt to increase their own follower count are just wasting their time.
