I monitor a site called http://giveawayoftheday.com which provides a different piece of commercial software daily at no cost.
Todays offering is a program called Liquid Story Binder, which normally costs $45.95
If you want it, download it from
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/liquid- … er-xe-291/
and follow the activation instructions. It's available for 22 hours from the time of this post. so if you're interested, get it now.
And you can sign up to receive notification of daily releases if you like.
Software from this site ranges from excellent to dreadful, depending on the day.
Anyway, I thought that this one looked like great value for the many writers here.
Here's the blurb:
Liquid Story Binder XE is a uniquely designed word processor for professional and aspiring authors, poets, and novelists. Writing software for those who require the editing ability of a commercial text editor as well as a document tracking system.
It is for those who want the freedom to create, outline and revise but are tired of losing track of their work.
Liquid Story Binder features: Multi-Window Display, Spell Checking, Thesaurus, Reference Notes, Timelines, Story Boards, Plot Outlines, Dossiers, Audio Recorder, Image Gallery, Reader, Manuscript Formatting, Time and Word Count Tracking, Chapter and Book Backups, Paragraph and Punctuation Cleaning, Toolbars, Templates, Portable Drive Install, Universal Search, Repetition Visualizer, External Editing, Project Goals, Playlists.
Cheers, Eric G.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for whether this works or not. I haven't tried it myself, but I'll dowload it and give it a try. Looks pretty useful.
Check out some of the comments from other users.
Got it ... thanks for the heads-up!
There's a real learning curve on this stuff, but I've played with it a bit, and it's exactly what I've been looking for.
Have fun with it. Looks great - but probably too complex for what I need.
It's still available for 40 mins if you're quick
Whee just made it by the deadline! LOL I was looking for some thing like this recently: I dont have a novel to write but maybe an ebook and I have been looking for something which would make it easier to organise my notes!
On the other side of the scale: I have been using a simple text editor for a few weeks which I find a lot easier to write in because it covers up all the distractions: like the windows menu! I wrote about it here http://100sites-lissie.blogspot.com/200 … ditor.html
Too bad Eric. I'm too late to read this topic. its 23 hours last posted.. well anyways just wait for another giveaways..
Thanks, I just downloaded it. I'm going to check it out this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
Dorsi, you have to download it AND install it within the 24 hour period.
And if you want to be advised of future offers, just sign up for their mailing list.
It's well worth checking out each day's offering, to see if it's something that's useful for you.
I'd suggest waiting for about 12 hours before downloading and reading the comments about the software, so that you can get the feel of what others have said about the program on offer.
(But be aware that there are some who make a hobby of voting down everything, so make your evaluations carefully )
