A lot of us can be lurkers, or posters, but what makes you post? is it because you're a chatter and you want to meet new people, or?
I post because I have freedom of expression. And there is nothing wrong in it.

LOL, I procrastinate, too. It's also a way for me to keep busy while I think about what my next hub or blog post could be about !
Different days, different reasons.
Fun time demented humor.
And ranting is always a good one.
Maybe I an just egotistical enough to think my thoughts count... then again they may not. Just a thought.
Considering you have a total of 5 posts to the forums....
It certainly wouldn't be egotistical.
Edit: I post for many different reasons.
I like to add my input to the subject. And I like chatting.
I like to chat and interact with all you amazing hubbers!!
it's my way of knowing how the other side of the earth sounds like...
...it depends...sometimes i have sumthin' to say...other times ?.....or maybe i wanna share a tune.....
"Got my head in a haze
Feel like a cat in a cage
I've been crying for days and I'm falling apart
Digging a hole in my heart
Give me the lies on page
Im' feelin twice my age
I've been crying for days and I'm falling apart
Digging a hole in my heart"
...today, i'm feelin' like a cat in a cage... :
I have a red demon on one shoulder and a white one on the other and one or other is always egging me on to post - Good morning SOH hope your day brights up a bit
...it's okay...thanks CM! ...i just liked the tune....it kinda made sense today
I kind of pop in and out of the Forums while doing something else. Sometimes there'll be a post I can't resist replying to, then another, then another, then another ... all a lot more fun than what I should be doing.
Okay, I'll go back to revising now for my Economics test tomorrow, but I'll go and smoke a cigarette first ... maybe just a quick look on the Forums when I get back, then I have to get back to work!
I think I mainly post on topics hoping that someone else might share my interests. However, I mostly comment on topics that I like, and, those that get on my nerves, like all the posts about religion. And, how god hates fags. Those get under my skin.
But, lately I have pretty much side stepped the God fearing posts, because it's like talking into a canyon that echoes forever. I also focus on topics where I might learn something. But, I have a thick skull, so sometimes it has a hard time getting through!
I enjoy the posts though. It is actually conversation instead of other sites where all you see is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz or lame photos of dogs humping. Sometimes I get a good laugh at those sites, but, it gets a tad bit tired.
Happy hubbing.

Everywhere I look people are upset and threatening to leave over the forums and I don't get it. Who cares if someone disagrees with your point of view? You dont have to wake up next to them in the morning so why does it matter so much?

Would it be possible to introduce a word count limit on forum posts?Look at the forums and you'll find there's never a good reason for a long forum post.Spammers write a long post to advertise their DVD ripper or whatever. Religious fanatics write a long post to preach. Confused newbies...

Every single internet community in the world has a block button, but hubpages does not. I simplfy do not want to speak to some people, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of people don't want to speak to me.I am a hardcore atheist, a progressive, and this clearly rubs a lot of people up the wrong way....
