Payoff for # of comments ???

   I do not expect this thread to live on I just want to know  ???
                                                                     I have been wondering if there is some kind of payoff for making the most comments on the forums?  Is there a race to be # 1 on the list? It seems that there are some that their only purpose in life is to dump their four or five word non sensual comments any place that they can find to dump them on. This might be OK if they were not trashing the rights of the others to communicate openly. Where do we find the rules for this GAME,

      to be serious, this question is absurd, what exactly is making you so upset?
      
      NO. No payoff, some people dont talk like you do, some people are bored. Some people come from a different background or whole other country then you do, so ..there is a language barrier as Hubpages is in english and not everybody speaks it as their first language.
      
      PLUS you said nonsensual...I think you meant ...nonsense? completly different words...
      
      my point is, you are not the only person who has the right to speak....

      The forum is what you make it to be for yourself.  For me, I like the fun aspect of it & the informative posts from other writers.  I also like the sense of community here.

   It's a forum. A public place. Folks have different ways of 'being' in a forum. And there are rules - no direct attacks for eg.
   
   It's horses for courses. Some folks get along fine in forums, others, not so.
   
   As for the race, I don't know. I post in here for different reasons. Sometimes I'm asking, sometimes I'm answering. Other times I'm passing time and having a bit of fun.

   There are many vocations available to people and it's great to see that you choose to follow your chosen path.
