I have a cheap (<$100) underwater camera that I love.  It does everything I need it to do and I never worry about weather or getting it wet.

I would recommend one of the Panasonic Lumix DMC range. they are getting rave reviews and are affordable.

Hmmmm, that would be perfect if you like water......wink I travel this whole country and sometimes I may be driving by and by the time the camera focuses and take an extra second to click the button.....I never get the same picture as I orginially wanted it to be......I need a super fast click camera. Like catching my dog jumping up or those reels are spinning on the casino machine and I want to take a picture of it and not be so blurry......they make camera that just stops time......and if it can stop time, that's what I want to buy! smile

Canon EOS 600. Its bulky and a few years old but its great for wide angle shoots in the outdoors. Lots of wildlife reserves where we live.

    I use several different cameras.

    I use a Nikon D60 that's a dlsr,two other digitals HP and a Kodak.

The D60 is a professional camera, when on vacation my son and I like to share and compare pics.

Some regular digtals take awesome shots, looking at a Canon Surehot to add to my collection.

It all depends on how much you want to spend and exactly the use of the camera.
