I want to add some videos from my camera

   I want to add some videos I took on my camera of activities I am writing about, but it looks like I can only add videos on You Tube or google.  Am I missing something or is this not possible?
   Please somebody help as I have hub pages waiting to go once I have worked out how to add my personal videos to them.

   You'll have to upload your videos first to a site like YouTube before you can embed them on your Hubs.

   Actually, I think you're looking at this from the wrong perspective? And, I'm going to try to point out why it's wrong. No offense intended.
   
   You have videos on your camera and you have a Google Account. Then go to Google YouTube, use your present account, as your opening for a new Google YouTube account and upload your videos to YouTube, then incorporate them into your hubs.
   
   You are looking at from doing it directly from your camera, into a capsule and that's not what it was intended for. My explanation above is the intended use.

   I agree with the above. YouTube offers some options where you can restrict the audience on YouTube's site; still, you should be able to get the embed code to use on HubPages. This way, the end result becomes similar to if you had uploaded to HubPages directly.

   There are other sites besides YouTube where you can post your video (such as Yahoo! videos) and then from there embed them on your Hub. 
   
   If you open a video capsule in a Hub while in editing mode, you will see the various sources for videos that are allowed here.
   
   I don't know whether other sites besides YouTube offer the restriction on audience that Website Examiner mentioned.

   Hey guys thank you all very much for responding so quickly.
   
   I have never really published any of my videos except on FB...and was a bit worried about You Tubing it, but I guess by putting the video on HP I am giving access to everyone.

      That is half true. By putting the video here, you only give people access to view your video. By putting it on YouTube, you give anyone access to embed the video into their own blogs, websites etc., unless you specifically restrict access.

         Good point Website Examiner...some of these videos will be of me landing my parachute or zip-lining!  I need to work out if it is ok for others to use them.
