Okay, I guess this may have been covered before, but I wanted to put my 'take' on the subject. I am totally saddened by having a number of hubs either having 'Ads Disabed' or being 'Unpublished' for what seem to be minor reasons. My latest 'victim' was a chapter of my IVF diary, and this hub has previously been published for a huge amount of time without the Ads ever being 'pulled'. I have now unpublished this, along with the other chapters in the series, and intend to publish them again on Excerptz.com when they are de-indexed by Google on Hubpages (Excerptz do not allow any duplicate content, plus they give you 80% of Adsense revenue 100% of the time). I also had another 'funny' hub about mistranslated funny signs have its ads disabled because of 'sexual' jokes. This too is now going to be moved to Excerptz.com. This seems so wrong to me, and a real case of 'political correctness' gone mad.
Not much more than a matter of a week ago I hit my '300' hubs published accolade here on Hubpages. Ironically I now have under 300 hubs published because of these bizarre rules that either unpublish or stop adverts on hubs (including hubs I have now unpublished by choice because I know it is only a matter of time before the Ads are disabled by Hubapges, e.g the rest if my IVF series). I wonder if this means when I publish a few more hubs I will get the 300 hubs accolade a second time round!
Well, at least you are aware of alternatives.
I enjoy reading your stuff and hope you will keep the "politically correct" ones here.
Trouble is Rochelle, it will take many months before these hubs get high in the Google rankings again on a new site with a new webpage address. A real shame, but there you go! I shall keep a good chunk of my hubs here, but if any more are unpublished or Ads disabled I am inclined to simply unpublish them for a week or so (so they get de-indexed by Google) and then simply move them over to other sites such as Excerptz.
I am flattered you enjoy my hubs and of course I shall keep writing here. I just intend to diversify and ensure my work not only earns for me, but remains published. If it were offensive or pornographic material I would understand the censorship, but it isn't, so I am forced to take sensible action to protect my already 'small' income from my writing.
Thanks so much for the compliment

When you publish a hub, it is normally listed under hub activity and a notification is sent via email to all interested parties. Now, when you unpublish that hub, finish re-editing and then republish it (keeping the original title intact), will it appear in the hub activity? Also, will...

One or two of my hubs have fallen victim to the "does not meet quality standards" empty bubble. In one case, I imagine it is because the hub falls under the "purely personal" category, better suited to a blog. That's fine. I can move it. (It's an older hub...

I have a few hubs that I wrote about 10 years ago when I first started writing on hubpages that are not very good. They are pretty thin on content and get little or no traffic now. Some of them have even been unpublished due to lack of traffic or for quality. I am not disputing that they are not...

It appears newly published hubs are missing the 'link to this page' link at the bottom of the page next to 'blog' 'about' etc. Here are pictures of an older hub, and a newer hub. The newer hub (published on August 28th) is missing the link.New hub missing link:Older hub with Link:Thanks for...

I have recently begun to completely revamp my hubs. I am publishing several revamped hubs per day. Can this have a negative effect on my HP profile score, Google rankings etc.??

I now have 11 hubs that are not indexed by google - nothing published since July 12 (the last one was published on the 9th and indexed yesterday). Normally I've seen then set up with 24 hours, occasionally in 48, but now it's 8 days and not done!!??
