Almost without exception - every single time I've ever published anything Satirical on this website I've had problems with Hubpages moderators. It's like the person who moderates my hubs that are Satire. . .have never heard of Satire, don't know what it is, and are just all out and completely confused by it.
It really makes me wonder - I know it's not me, so it's either
1. I'm getting moderated by someone who doesn't have a High school level English reading ability, or
2. Hubpages never stated it, but the site doesn't want, appreciate, or favour Satire, or
3. Whoever moderates my hubs. . . .just doesn't like me.
I tend to think choice 3 is ridiculous, as I've seldom spoken to anyone on staff here.
My suggestion is that we have a category titled "SATIRE," and that things placed in that category are able to be about anything, but. . . .be satirical.
Thoughts?
Are your satirical hubs marked as satire? Does your writing style make it clear (eventually) that you are being satirical?
I have one comical hub (not satire, but close enough) and I have a clear disclaimer at both the top and bottom of the hub stating that it is humor.
Unfortunately, Wes, the Adsense rules don't make any exceptions for satirical treatment of a subject.
If a subject isn't allowed by Adsense, you're not allowed to write about it at all. It's dumb, but that's Google for you.
For instance, the rules about adult content are clearly meant to prevent porn - but serious advice about sexual problems is also prohibited. The same goes for a humorous treatment of sexual subjects.
You need to consider the subjects you're writing about, without considering how you've written about them. That's what the moderators have to do, to protect our Adsense accounts.
Oh, and obviously we aren't talking about Simone here - half the things she publishes are at least in part Satire.
I don't know who moderates my hubs, and who it is that hates my satire, but it's a problem that doesn't seem to go away, and it's been going on for over a year now. . . .same thing, nit picking any possible exploitable problem on anything that I publish that is Satirical in nature.
Your Hubs weren't moderated for being satirical.
You should read the emails sent to you very carefully, as well as the warning (click on it) in the black box at the top of the Hub. They'll give you a good idea of what problems the moderators found with it.

I posted a photo hub and had all positive responses to a photo that I took with my cellphone. The image is clear and has my own 'copyright' mark on the picture. I am shocked that someone would actually say this image is 'not up to standard' as it has since been featured on other sites and repined...

Are there way more conservatives than moderates/liberals on hubpages or is that just my perception?

... administer the forums?I asked a similar question in a poll in a recent Hub and though I had many views I didn't get many votes. Now I wonder are people afraid of the consequences if they post their votes or their views?

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?

I was just wondering why foul language (obscene language, profanity, cursing, swearing, expletives, bad words, dirty words) is being tolerated in certain cases, and in the case of certain individuals. It is especially embarrassing when it comes from a woman. Should she not be counselled by a...
