Hello, I'm new to Hubpages and posted my first hub today: Marklin Trains
Would appreciate any feedback, thanks!
Thanks Guidebaba! I've got a little internet experience, but this is my first hub. Always interested in feedback to improve!
You are already doing great. I was very poor initially.
Here are some tips:
1. Write at least 1000 - 1500 genuine words.
2. Use 5-10 relevant pictures with CAPTION. Pictures are USELESS without any caption.
3. Use 3-5 relevant videos with title.
4. Use SUPER-RELEVANT ebay and amazon capsules.
5. Wisely and cleverly use Yahoo News and RSS Capsules
6. Put 1 amazon capsule at the top and 1 at the bottom
7. Provide some links to some relevant and GOOD and USEFUL sites. Linking words in the content itself works much better.
CHEERS !!!
Great tips, guidebaba!
funwithtrains, it looks like you've made a few changes....it's looking great right now. I appreciate you posting your Hub for the Extreme Hub Makeover!
Great tips in general - I will be revising my own recently created hubs using these suggestions!
Blessings,
Angela <><
They are nice tips but remember, thats just his general form! Everyone can have there own formation and there own amounts of capsules that they think will preform better! But I will admit, his are top notch!

I've been revising my first hub and think I'm getting closer!
That's a good first hub. You really must have taken time to prepare.
Thanks ngureco and profiler for the nice feedback.
I've now added more text and reached the 1,000 word mark -- a bit hard for me, as I tend to be brief.
Its now even better. But I may whisper to you: when guys and gals make comments on your hub, they expect your response, if you will. That way the hub score will go up and more people will come to read your hub.
Thanks Ryan and ngureco!
Ngureco: thanks for the tip on comments, I did not realize that!
I am also trying to incorporate these helpful comments into my 2nd Hub: Trix Trains
I will be adding some more text as time allows.
I am finding the Amazon and Ebay listings both fairly light for Trix trains, so that's why I haven't used more modules.
Now applying what I've learned to my 3rd hub: Bachmann Trains
As always, constructive comments are appreciated!
Use tag suggestions and follow previous advice. You can add poll too.

you first HUB is excellent. Mine was not as good. I am still experimenting in different layouts and keywords, though I have completed already 60+ hubs.

Do you always leave a comment if you read a hub?I have followers whom I've never seen in the comments sections and just wondered what other hubbers think about the comments in general. Do you leave comments when you read? Sometimes? Always? Never? Please give your reasons with...

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

This is getting silly. The last few Hubs I updated had all links to other Hubs snipped, even though these links were (a) on the same topic (b) helpful to the reader and (c) pointing to the same niche site. I really try to understand why Amazon links are removed, and I get why links to other sites...

This hub was previously featured (all my other Hubs are Featured) but with some recent rule changes, it is no longer featured. I edited the hub three times and still nothing has changed. I reviewed all the guidelines and removed links to I don't refer to the same domain more than...

Do you delete hub comments that are very generic if it appears the commenter hasn't read the hub?I notice my more popular hubs will get comments left that are just generic like "this was great thanks". I have started deleting these comments because they don't add anything meaningful...
