I got my check! Very exciting - first time I've ever been paid to write anything and it feels very good! Two years went by so fast - I've met many new friends who feel like old friends by now and laughed and cried with them. I could have written more, I suppose, and made more money - but I've gone at the pace that is comfortable and enjoyed it very much. I guess I'll hang around and see what happens in the next two years! How about you? Are you coming along with me?
that's amazing and a true inspiration for other hubbers. it's important to write at your own pace and you've been SO active in the forums - i should take a page out of your book.
thanks! However, I know that my activity in the forums has been for fun and games and really hasn't helped me make money. But that's ok - people gotta enjoy themselves too! I bet there are a thousand or more different ways to do all this. We each have to find our own way.
great job. im proud of you. i cant wait for my first check. truly inspiring to keep pushing forward
Congrats!! DO you mind if I ask how much you earned and how often did you write?
I didn't write often enough to make much - my first check is only $100.93 - and so you can figure the average over 2 years. I should write more - but, as I say, the money wasn't that important. If it were the money I was here for I probably would have left long ago - or written a hecka lot more!
Congrats, mega1! That first check is always the best!
WOOT! Congrats.
P.s. I know for sure you now have enough money to buy me a beer.
Congratulations, Mega! It's a great feeling, isn't it, to see it come together.
Wilderness, I get my 10th paycheck on Tuesday hopefully in time to pay my car insurance. I tried to switch over as soon as I could to Subdomain last month and my earnings this month are double last months like you foreseen, back to what I was getting PrePanda!
I know there are a lot of much more successful hubbers than I, who make tons of money - but I'm sure there are many like me who just enjoy using the internet the way it was intended - to connect with people and share ideas. This isn't my job, but it fills another purpose for me, to provide a lot of communication with great people I wouldn't have found any other way. I'm stuck out here in the country most of the time, so thanks for talking with me and reading my hubs and helping me feel like I'm part of the world!
Congratulations on reaching payout. You have been rewarded for your community spirit and your writings. It would be fascinating to know why people have clicked and bought when you are not trying to sell them anything. Well done.
Yep, it's time to bust out the champagne, and celebrate. Congratulations Mega. Here's hoping this will be the first of many for you soon.
It was just a little frustrating to read some of the "success stories" and see that people actually make money (some makes lots of it) EVERY MONTH through Adsense and HubPages - well, I have to keep remembering that I'm doing what I want and if I want to sell stuff and make more I can. It would be fun to see $500 every month extra to help me do some of the things I want to do, but am I ready to really pursue SEO and Keywords and product optimization? Heck, I barely know what those things mean!
Congratulations mega1 on that first check. I remember how exciting and validating that it was when I got my first one. Here is to many more for each and every one of us writing here on HubPages!
Congratulations on your achievement and here's to many more!
Congratulations! After the very first check everything is up hill from there. I wish you so much success on HubPages!
Thanks, everybody, for all the good wishes. Another reason I love coming to HP every day, people are kind as well as smart! how often does that happen anywhere else!
Congratulations, mega1 - that first check is really wonderful, and the second will be even better!
Congradulations! We can celebrate together I just recieve mine last week. Sign up for Google analytic to see what topics reieved the most hits and no hits to know what works and don't work. No worries they have step by step directions to signing up.
Congratulations. I have onluy just started this week, blogging and writing aticles and i must say, I do get confused. I am determined to make it work, but sometimes it feels very difficult. I will keep at it though.

I just passed my three year and 100,000 page view landmarks.Thank you my friends and fellow word crafters for your friendship and constant support as I have grown in this discipline of writing. We're all busy people. Writers would be busy even if we had no family, social or work...

Hi,I've signed up and am ready to start making hubs in my specialised subject, but I was wondering what the earning potential of hubbig (if that's a word) actually is. I realise it all depends on how attractive your pages are and how good they are etc, but what are people actually earning? I am not...

If you have been writing for HP for one year, how satisfied are you with the total experience?Today I celebrate my 1 year anniversary here on HP. I have made some amazing friends and improved my writing skill set. The money I've made is the stuff jokes are made of and the views I've...

I have created a pitiful 29 hubs in four years. But I'm a lot more active on facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Search. You people MUST LIVE ON HERE! How in the world do you find subjects for crying out loud? You must be just writing for writing sake. In order to write something, I have to FEEL IT,...

It is hard to believe that 13 years have passed since I wrote my first post on this site. Many things have changed over the years, and what I appreciate most are the HP friends from all around the world that I have gotten to know. Cheers to friendships new and old!

I'm officially now my first month into HubPages and loving it; however, I'd like to share with the community some of the observations I've made in the first 30 days. The OpportunityLet me start by saying that I think there is plenty of opportunity for writers here, even post-panda, to become...
