Well, I have to share this because, in over three years at HubPages, this is the best comment I have ever received based on pure joy and hilarity. Everything that this guy is having a cow about, I did actually say in the hub (it's a cat spoof about cats loving us more than dogs), but the dude does not get sarcasm or humor, so he took everything seriously. That means, I lol'ed. (For your reference, I am the "ignorant being" mentioned in the comment below.)
This article is an example of exaggeration and an exercise in ignorance ESPECIALLY THE PART WHEN THE IGNORANT BEING SAYS THAT A CAT AVOIDS WATER BECAUSE HE DOESNT WANT TO GET YOU WET. I mean how blind do you have to be to see that cats dont like water. Have you ever seen a lion or any other feline species enjoy water...NO. sure theres an abnormal cat who like water. Also you have to be crazy to lick your cat clean. Specially when its been outside doing who knows what. Heres some advice.. keep it simple because thats a what a cats love is simple. Not some giant mural of love or however you made a cats love out to be.
This sarcastically challenged commenter provides a lesson for us in the failure of our educational system that celebrates self-esteem over competition...Literal thinking is the norm...critical thinking has reached critical mass...my cat made me write this...Larry
The average level of ignorance is humorous at times and at the same time, it's pathetically sad.
Well, it's sad in that somewhere out there some guy was having a spasm that someone could be as "stupid" as he expects is required to believe the stuff I wrote. I can only hope that he is kidding and tossing some fuel on the fun fire. Without that plausible seed, there is reason to fear the end of humanity is in view (given that our own good nature stands in the way of evolution these days, if the evidence presented counts).
Stacie, THAT is a fantastic idea. I may have to do it, and send him an email so he doesn't miss out on the opportunity for indignity and outrage!
The funnier part is Shadesbreath is when you're attempting to be serious, you're still funny. Your uncanny ability to speak and your knowledge of humans, makes almost everything you say quite funny.
However, even with that said, I understand what you're saying. It's easy to see how humanity's end could be coming with the amount of "stupid" out there. But, on the bright side- "f**k'em if they cannot take a joke".
I agree Shadesbreath, this should be stored for posterity!
I would have thought that licking a cat clean would have tweaked a neuron somewhere!
Shady, I just read the hub, and I almost peed my pants laughing! LOVE your quirky sense of humor.
That's too funny...maybe he's drunk posting..
If you want him to really go postal, write a hub about marrying your cat!
I got an asinine comment I guess it was about a year ago. Some religionist used my hub to go on a rant against gays. The hub itself had nothing to do with religion, politics, gays, or anything even remotely similar. The one-track mind can be a frightening thing...
Hah, I love those people who are reflexively religious. I've gotten some sweet comments on gay rights satire, where they clearly didn't read it so they prove how hateful they actually are. Good stuff.
LOL, I think you have a rocket scientist there, Cags. Maybe, like, Steven Hawking's cousin or something. You're pulling them in.
Here is something for you to laugh at. This comment was posted to one of my hubs about 18 minutes ago. It should make you laugh.

Does anyone know where Shadesbreath has gone? Did he suddenly become gainfully and painfully employed? I see by his profile activity-- that he is still gaining fans. Obviously he is still popular because his stuff is always very funny. He encouraged me mightily when I first started here, and I...

Considering God is supposedly omnipotent and omniscient, he would have known before he even made Adam & Eve, that if he made them the way he did, they would have been too weak to resist the temptation. My question is, what is the point of making that happen? It's been said that God is incapable...

It occured to me the other day that I have a shocking gap in my knowledge. What is it? Apart from a few film themes, I couldn't name a single piece of music composed in the 21st century !!! Not even one! Although I could name a few celebrity pop stars like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Beyonce, I...
