Anyone better than Len7288 ( http://len7288.hubpages.com/ ) in terms of stats? 1430 followers, 1325 hubs, and this whopper : being read over 10 million times, yes not my typo error, 10 million times! She is fantastic!
In fact I came into Hubpages through Len7288 on Google Search. How did she do it? I did ask her but I think she was too busy to answer me.
Well as I see from a quick note is that she simply states major facts about given subject with very clear grammar but keeping her hub short. I bet these herb hubs show up high on most searches. No personal view just facts wherever she gets them. Could be from a book, lol. Smart girl
When I look, it says she has been banned from Hubpages.
Hey,
Len7288 has been banned after 5 long years!
No reason given.
I've read quite a few articles of hers in the past few years. Health was her main topic and as I recall writing on some health related topics can get your hubs unpublished or something.
HP isn't foolish to ban someone with that many views etc. There may have been some obvious reason
wow, you got a lot of qualification to speak for HP.
Oh Cags I forgot to mention what about us!!
This sux!!! I linked to a lot of her health related hubs and now every single one of hers are gone and now I have a ton of broken links to fix and correct.
It won't be that drastic for spun or copied. She would be warned and would never last that long in the first place
You would be surprised how long hubbers have remained with spun content. There are very clever spinners. I remember last year another one was discovered with just about the same stats. It was all spun content.
Oh so if that's the case I'm glad HP is cracking down on the spinners. Next should be the personal hubs that are entirely advertisements (people with just a single hub and use HP just for a minute in their life)
I can't say about copied content, but I am sure her content wasn't spun, at least the articles I read. I say this because I've read some of her articles.
Yea, I don't think so. I do my due diligence before I link to anyone's content by doing a search for duplication. Len's hubs were original, at least the ones I linked to. This is just going to be one of those mysteries full of conjecture so off to fix I go....
You may like to wait a while before removing the links. Who knows, Hubpages may reinstate her after problems are resolved.
I don't think so. "Permanently banned" sounds like HP was sure. When I first visited your thread, her pic came up, but said she had been permanently banned. Now nothing comes up in the search for hubber len7288,
Ah, when i clicked on OP link, it went to page w/ avatar and banned message. When I type len7288 in search, then hubbers, nothing comes up.
Before we label anyone's work as spun, we should also remember the well-known hubber who got banned not so long ago for arguing with staff after HP unpublished a couple of his hubs for him to correct.
He said himself, he got drunk and fired off an abusive email.
Bye bye account!
I am saddened to see Len has been banned, but unless she chooses to tell one of us the reason, it could be something stupid ike the case above.
Sure. It could also just be a terrible mistake on the part of a staffer.
What IS gratifying is that HP is taking action on these kinds of problems. I think that's good even when someone does get undeservedly caught up in the web - I'm assuming that errors will be straightened out and any accidental or incorrect ban will be lifted.
More important is that real spammers and copiers are being dealt with.
It would be highly ironic if the reason staff noticed a violator was because of a post like this!
Yes, we don't know and likely will not know the details. I'm sure we all realize things are not always as they appear. If it was a mistake, I'm sure things could be worked out. Sometimes hubbers aren't willing to fix their mistakes or it's too overwhelming of a process. And some simply get caught for violating TOU. We don't know.
I checked 3 cached versions of her hubs and all of them appeared on numerous sites. One as far back as 2009.
Four digit number in the user name and a nice picture.
Ah well.
If someone's Hubs are merely unpublished and they have the opportunity to edit them and get them republished, you do not see a message on the profile page saying that user is banned. When you see that phrase, that means it's a permanent ban, the kind where you don't get a chance to come back and where the making of new accounts will get those automatically banned as well.
Her posts are still on here - I know this as I wanted to see if I could recall who she was,I got same on her profile as everyone else.
She was here for 5 years and the last forum post she made was to offer support to the team in the 'Bring back Google Love' forum posting, Jason thanked her for her support.
If you want to see the Google Love post from her or her other posts on the list - I typed her profile name into the search here and then clicked forums tab. BTW This does confirm what I thought when I read TOS recently even if your hubs go your posts in the forums here, remain.
I am wondering if when all the alterations to duplicate content, links, etc. came in with so many hubs on one account how would you ever make the adjustments required, especially if there was a time scale to achieve it in. But then I would guess you could just unpublish them and work through them as and when.
It makes you feel a bit vulnerable putting in the work when you read about people with so many pages going.
I wonder sometimes if some people think my articles are spun, just because I have so many. I've never used an article spinner - ever. All my hubs are original content. No one has ever accused me - just wanted to clear that point up. lol
I wondered that too, at first. Because you had so many. But I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that you are an ace writer with a lot of quality content.
Oh I dunno Habee! Do you not have a hub about adipose hankies?
Hmmm...this is really such a pity! I read one of Len's health hubs when I was new here and I thought it was very well written? In fact, just a couple of minutes ago, I searched a topic on Google and a link to her hub was on the 2nd page. When I clicked on the link, it said the hub was no longer published. Then I come on here and I find all this. I'm itching to find out why exactly she was banned! I can't take it any more - why was she banned? Whyyyy?!
I received a message from Len. She didn't say why she was banned and I didn't ask, it's her business. In her message, she thanked me for following her here on HP and invited me to visit her new website where she has moved all of her articles. If you want to take a look, it's at len7288 dot com. I wish I would have gotten this sooner, I would have changed all the links I had to her HP articles to their new location. Oh well, I 'cleaned house' and what's done is done.
Len said that it was something to do with resubmissions of a hub considered substandard. However Hp was not satisfied over several resubmissions, and the heat got on the way; and Len was banned.
I have same experience with Hp over so-called violations which Hp did not specify. They just stated "violations" of "over-promotion". I had to guess and figure out the exact violations, and luckily for me when I re-submitted my hub, it was acepted. I think Hp should help us to correct the violations by pointing out the speicific violations so that we could correct them to Hp's requirements.
Well, maybe the system is in auto mode when calling up violations, and that Admin also will not know the specific violations.
We just need to be very careful, and not let frustration overwhelms us that we might offend Hp in our subsequent correspondence.
I wish Hp should give Len another chance. Len is an exceptionally outstanding hubber, as I have stated in the opening lines of this thread.
What do you good people think about my wish?
Me too! I believe Len should be given another chance. Can HP give this talented and hardworking hubber another chance?
Well , you know they won't, but we can all show Len our support by visiting her new blog http://www.len7288.com/ and tweeting her stuff.
Is there any way that we could all make an appeal on her behalf? It will be a win-win-win scenario for Len, Hp and all of us.
The horse is thoroughly beaten and dead.
http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/90656#top
And if anyone wants to really help her, put a link to her blog, or to one of her posts, on your high PR profile!
I checked the link to Len's new site, it should be obvious to all native English speakers why she got banned. Every article of hers has multiple grammar and verb conjugation issues. "This plant grow..." "The plants grows..." And the mistakes are prevalent enough not to be typos.
HubPages is not a learning site for people who speak English as a second language. If people want to help her on their own time, great, but HP is a business first and foremost, and it's their call to make these decisions. Google does not look favorably on content written in broken English, and unless you've been living under a rock, you know that HP staff are obsessed with staying in Google's good graces.

This hubber has 10 million views and just 15 hubs. He or she doesn't even bother explainining who /he she/ is on profile page. Writes about stuff like iphones. Are we all missing a trick. Do you think this person could be making serious dosh?

I received this as a piece of fan mail. Didn't see anyone else reporting this issue, so thought I'd pop a thread up about it. The user had already been banned when I read it.Few problems with the info:1. Sock puppets are generally used on the forums to create more argument, not to click adverts.2....

I have been here since January, 2012 and this is only the second time I hit the hundred mark. The first time it came and went quickly, but this time it has stuck...at least for today! I have been working very hard to rework my articles and as a result my hubber score has hit the...
