the title pretty much says it all.
my page views have gone up and a few people said they've clicked the ads on my page.
sadly, my earnings are creeping up by only pennies.

    What's a girl to do??

People clicked on your ads and they told you too... Great hmm ... What's better than this.

      Write more high quality hubs.

      Rinse and repeat

      Do it again.

With 5 hubs and new to HP you will find your earnings to be very variable on a day to day basis.  As your views grow to 1000 a day or more you will find that it will level out some.

my views have gone up and so has my hub ads income to match.  But I've hardly made anything off adsense.

Ummm, are you asking people you know to click on your ads?

That is the fastest way possible to lose your Adsense account.

If you encourage people whom you know to click on your ads you become a easy target for Google to ban your account. You need to take all precautions to get these people to stop clicking on your ads.. Google is constantly looking for patterns on clicks .. it is better to be safe than sorry.

My traffic has recently reached three digits (due to one hub) This is great in terms of HP add program. However, in terms of adsence, I'm seeing the minimum amount of money in terms of UK currency (I know it's against TOS to say what that is) I find this confusing, because it isn't showing clicks just this very small amount of revenue accumulating daily, despite the surge in traffic.

Hollie this is due to the new layout of HP ads, unless u get a click at the ad below comments it wont show in your adsense earnings

Ah, the thing is, adsence is showing some earnings, but no clicks.

Yes that's because Adsense has CPM as well. People are viewing your hubs with the ads which they probably don't see but the CPM builds up giving your some earnings

Ah, thank you lobobrandon. I just always assumed that to accumulate adsence earnings, you had to receive some clicks.

Adsene is mostly PPC (Pay per click) but at times CPM ads are displayed as well.

Yes, I've been seeing a lot of that the past month or so in adsense (not HPads).  Most days show 50 cents or so in impression based ads plus the value the clicks (if any) that went through.  It used to be a penny or two in CPM ads but has changed.
