Are there some good blogging sites for kids to use?

    Are there good sites for kids to create blogs on sites that are safe for them to use?  My girls could be ready to try one within a year or so.  They still need help with spelling right now, but as they get older, they might like this.  I found one that I thought might be good, but they requested 9.99 a month.

    You can create a blogger account for free - there are ways to make it private (only "invited" people can read the blog). My cousin has one set up for his son and only a few people are able to see the blog - you could set up an account for your kids and only allow family to view it.

      That sounds good.  I am on Blogger too.  They aren't ready yet.  That other write for kids sounds neat too, but they aren't at the age yet where I would want to pay monthly.
