I have seen the degrading remarks made by a few hubbers. I have read where you have been called idiots, deceitful, thieves, etc. . .
I just want you to know that I love it here and I believe the staff is very generous when dealing with posts that are meant to degrade you. I appreciate everything you do for the site and I also know that you cannot please everyone.
Here is a party for you. Virtual, of course.
*picks up the karaoke mic and begins to sing "Wind Beneath My Wings" to the HubPages staff*
Who wants to sing next?
If people behaved like that in the workplace, they'd get fired. Surely HP can ban the ones that only want to sh!t stir with their constant negativity?
Is that bits of rice left on that plate? From a cake? Maybe it was a rice cake..
I was thinking waffles or pancakes, but it does kinda look like rice.
I looked high and low. It was the best I could come up with.
Point was...you ate it ALL!!! None for any of us!
Even if it was rice, or whatever it was...there is NONE left!
Jason ate it, I just know it was him. He's off with his eater's remorse now, looking for a Chocoholics meeting.
Paul, Jason et al have the patience of saints. I take my hat off to them and wish them a peaceful Christmas! :-D
Amen Paul. I am doing well here and appreciate all of the new programs added. I don't know what some of these people's problems are and always wonder why if they feel the way the do they keep writing here.
Happy Holidays to the Hubpage staff!
No kidding about the patience. No doubt they have their offline moments of rage though, I know I would with all the crap they have to put up with.
Anyway, great thread Sir Dent. I will join in the party, that cakes looks soooo good.
Thank you, SirDent. And I agree with the others...that cake does look good. (I'm an admitted chocoholic...)
Same with me, depending upon my mood. I wish it weren't the case, too. But, permanently cutting it out of my diet is just not an option, it's simply a quality of life issue.
Jason, I think there's a 12-step program for that!
Hey Jason!!! I have picture of you in Dallas last March. Shall I inform the Hubpage world of your behavior? Hehehhe.
I thought those pictures would never see the light of day!
What... did you overdo it on chocolate, or what?
Unless you can make more money by not posting them, if you know what I mean.
Another image I'll have to gouge from my poor brain! Thanks a lot, Dent.
Not my fault your mind is in the gutter. Then of course, most of us are in the same place.
Thank you staff for trying to make hubpages better with
new ad-revenue programs that will increase our earnings,
by marketing hubpages and contacting google after panda happened,
by letting us easily hop new hubs so we can help keep quality in check,
by providing scripts to check for broken links and broken videso,
by having a tag updater that doesn't require editing and republishing the hub,
by having a title suggestion script,
by listening when hubbers asked for the possibility of bookmarking
by letting us view stats both in hubpages and through analytics
by providing contests and themes to give us ideas on hubs to write about
by updating your blog fairly often to keep us updated and give us tips
by letting us get positive feedback even from people who don't like to comment, but might not mind clicking a button
by stopping people from using color and other html tags that, while could be useful for some hubbers, may end up hurting the reputation of the site when used by those who are design-challenged
by making it easy for us to flag and categorize our flags
by actually replying to people in forums
All of these things that the staff do, that we sometimes take for granted, are wonderful.
Am I too late for the party? What about an after-party party?
Hi! My name is Jason, and I'm a chocoholic...
Hi, Jason!
...
Party on, HP!
Thanks for starting this thread SirDent! I agree 110%. HubPages has weathered the Panda storm well and the staff take an awful lot of undeserved flak. My earnings have improved significantly in recent months and generally the staff do a great job.
Constructive feedback is fine but constant complaining and abuse of staff is at best unhelpful. Let me add my toast to the HubPages staff wishing them well for the Christmas Season.
Here's looking forward to interesting times, earning together in 2012!

I was quite stunned a week or more ago when someone made a statement on one of my hubs that she had commented twice and I had snubbed her by not replying. Her comment had been particularly flattering, and probably because I've spent a lifetime being flattered by others only to find that they wanted...

In the past many Hubbers, including myself, have seen the "Report a Problem" or "Need Help" threads as a way to either get a policy explained, or as a way to escalate an urgent problem when emails weren't eliciting a response. It is now obvious that is no longer the case,...

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the types of services we offer Hubbers and how to help Hubbers improve.A few services that have been suggested- grammar and spell checking- suggesting edits- providing images/media upon request- formatting help (breaking hubs into multiple text capsules,...

Hello everyone!!We're launching a series of interviews with the cool employees at HubPages headquarters to give you a better view of the people behind the site. Not all staff members have agreed to an interview (we have a couple shy folks!!), but many have, and I'd love to know what questions I...

I would appreciate if Staff would tell me whether GamerGirl and Whitney, both of whom have chosen to crawl through all my output (output which staff courteously restored after I had totally deleted it on my sabbatical) and repetitively downthumb and flag me, have been assigned by staff as my...
