Text Editing Lock-ups

I just lost my Hub twice due to the editor locking-up.

I click on "save" and the editor disappears, but the screen stays grayed-out and unresponsive. When I try to refresh the page to get anything to respond, it asks if I really want to leave or stay.

If I say "stay", it remains unresponsive. If I say "leave", it goes back to the Hub, but there is nothing in my recently edited text capsule.

I've tried the newest versions of Firefox AND IE. They both give the same results.

Might there be something in my pasted material that is fouling the capsule script? Is there a problem with pasting multiple, medium sized files into a single text capsule? Will it do the same thing when I edit the Hub with an external text editor and paste it into the capsule? What am I doing wrong?

I hope someone knows what might be happening. Best to you all!

I'm having problems in Opera on a Mac, too. No text box to paste into but HubPages is changing their code on the editing pages. Yesterday I couldn't even click "edit" on a textbox and get anything to happen; today it opens up and there's the header but then nothing to type text into. Sloppy HTML is in there somewhere.

I do n't know what is happening or why, but when faced with a similar situation I have opened up a new window for HubPages. Then I have gone into the new 'one' to continue editing the hub rather than lose the work in the capsule. You keep the old one open in case you have to copy the work across. There is probably a simpler way to sort it, but this one works for me.

This happen to me a couple of times before I learned to use a word document to write my hubs then just cut and paste.  But I know some people prefer the Hub text editor, so I recommend that while writing, try to make sure the green button at the bottom of the text editor stays on.  If it turns red (or what I would call more of a maroon color), stop and cut and paste your work into notepad or similar program.

As long as that light is green, even if it locks up, you can refresh, even log out and log back in, open the text editor, and, where the green light is located, choose "recover draft."

    Hope that helps!

I did go to Word to write the Hub and was able paste it into the capsule without any further trouble. Sigh.
Thank you all for your replies!
