I just did my 10th hub and found out that my latest hub is listed on PAGE 1 of both Google AND Yahoo (numbers 3 and 2 on page one to be exact!) My first hub to be listed so high!!!!
Is there a place for hubbers to post such good news and give hope to other newbies or to even let HP know about stuff like this and how thankful we are when we hit such milestone marks?
Yes, here! You are in the right spot!
You could also post this under HubPages community.
This is a good question. Bear in mind Google "personalises" your searches, so what you see is not what everyone sees. Because you've been looking at your own Hubs recently, Google will present them on your first page of results, but that doesn't mean much I'm afraid.
And then there's the sad fact that pointing out the success of a specific Hub often leads to the creation of knock-offs as people spin their own version based on yours.
Nice work! I did find it on page 1 also. It looks like an informative how to hub.
The forum can be a great place to post successes, but don't be too specific, like relache said.
Yup very true. And be very careful discussing earnings. Last year when I discussed earnings my HP account was hacked and my PayPal diverted. Jason from HP helped me out quickly but it shook me up. No more discussing earnings for me.
Not to scare you but there are some unscrupulous people out there.
Thanks everyone for your posts - I LOVE getting all the "pearls of wisdom" from more experienced writers such as each and every one of you and will use the information going forward to better my talents.
Please feel free to give me any feedback - good or bad, as I really want to continue to grow in this genre.

My HP earnings have bombed thanks to the Penguin, should I jump ship?Does anyone think it would be better to go with Google Adsense rather than the HubPages payment programme?

I have about 4/5 featured hubs and I started about 2 weeks ago, I'm just curious as to how all of this works! All of my scores are in the 50s and between 14-77 ~ever views~

I've heard people talk about turning off Adsense to earn more from the Hubpages program, but I'm really confused about how this works. Does HubPages pay better than Adsense? I thought Adsense was required to make money...

WE are not allowed to disclose earnings, etc in forum or elsewhere. But, there are several hubs with earnings per month, hub scores, number of hubs etc by the same hubber. They list names of hubbers that they are...

There are a lot of hubbers that believe that the traffic stats inform the earnings figures. Considering that the traffic stats have not been working well lately it has got people worried that they aren't getting the...

I think it is related to images being used for the HUB ads and Google ads. When I turned off the Hub ads my adsense revenue rose significantly. I think it is because the block of adsense ads to the right of the column...
