I have been remiss in reaching out to those whose information I have quoted, photos I have used and given attribution to not to mention the many videos that I have promoted.
I have started using an "outreach capsule", a hidden text box to log my contact with others outside of HubPages.
My aim is to share the hub url with them and document the date that I shared it. Sometimes, I will detail the date that I promoted the hub on Digg or Reddit but not very often - that date doesn't mean much to me at the moment.
I would like a capsule that we keep hidden which is simply a log of our promotions - date field followed by open text.
I am doing this now and will try to be more consistent but wouldn't this be a helpful capsule for others to follow?
After all the name of the game is promotion isn't it? Reaching out and sharing, I feel should be tracked - one hub at a time.
Your thoughts? I know many keep the log on a spreadsheet but I find it more convenient right on the hub itself.
How do you reach out to those you are touching, promoting? Do you tell the person who uploaded the video you wrote an article that references that video?

As I plow through the lenses to become hubs, two of them I edited do not show the change date of the edit although the updates are visible. Since I am using the date to keep track of the edited lenses, I keep re-editing them but the original date never changes. Is this an issue on HubPages or a...

I started to write on a particular brand of clothing. In my research, I found that they offer a 5% affiliate - can I use this with Hub Pages? Insert the code into a hidden capsule? Is this allowed?I will write the article regardless but wanted to know beforehand IF I should pursue...
