Check out this largemouth bass!

My 6-year-old grandson, Tristan, caught this bass ALL BY HIMSELF - the cast, the working of the lure, the landing, everything! The fish weighed right at 6 pounds. Not bad for a little kid, huh?

Tristan's got his self a fish to be proud of there habee. Can see his future right now: Big boat with lots of sponsors' advertizements all around it; fancy fishin' rigs, pretty girls, and two very happy Grans!

That's pretty awesome.  He'll have a hard time catching one that big for years to come.

Well, the pond he was fishing in has a very healthy fish population. It's on his grandfather's farm. In January, Tristan and his brother hauled in 30 bass in a couple of hours!

Wow! He has a story to tell when he gets older. The best tasting fish is the one you reel in yourself. What a great kid.

Thanks, Keith! Tristan's nine-year-old brother, Jonathan, hauled in this one all by himself - an eight-pounder:
