This thread is for innocuous, cheerful, entertaining, humorous, and interesting posts only. It is an escape from some of the other threads...

Any time I think of something worthy, I'll post it here. I hope others do the same.

Inane posts are also welcome here. In fact, I'll start with one:

    Be prepared for a long weekend, i.e., http://news.yahoo.com/wait-earth-adds-l … nance.html

Urinating Standing Up May Soon Be Illegal in Europe: Approve?

Socialists and feminists in Europe want to force equality by outlawing men from urinating while standing up. The Leftists suggest that forcing uniformity also has medical benefits with cleaner floors without puddles of urine. On the other hand, dirty toilet seats, increase of water usage for flushing and other factors may make "sitting only bathrooms" less healthy for humans and the environment.

So would I. However, it would take considerably more skill on my part, and I'm not willing to bare my behind in the cold that long. lol

Just when you thought Mumbai couldn't get any more hectic, someone comes along and leaves a Boeing 737 sitting in the middle of a busy road. BBC reports, "The decommissioned aircraft was being driven through the city at the weekend when the driver got lost and then abandoned the plane."

Vancouver restaurant selling $100 hot dog

VANCOUVER – Vancouver, known for its bustling street food scene, will also soon be known as home to the “most expensive hot dog in the world” – a $100 cognac-infused sausage topped with oil-seared Kobe beef, lobster meat and a picante sauce.

“When you come up with a $100 hot dog, you’ve got to have a good idea,” said DougieDog owner Dougie Luv of the Dragon Dog.

The foot-long bratwurst is infused with 100-year-old Louis XIII cognac – which has a $2,000 price tag of its own – and must be ordered 12 hours in advance so fresh ingredients can be prepped.

Girl Who Can Start Fire With Her Brain Mystifies Scientists

Many think this young girl has supernatural abilities and scientists are puzzled by what she has accomplished so far.

She is now being called a global scientific phenomenon.

According to the family, their 11-year-old daughter has a bizarre ability to set things aflame by just being near them.

Her father tells it all started about a month ago when the family home’s electrical network suffered several short circuits, about a month ago. Electricians were called to fix the short circuit but could not find the cause behind the power failures.

Well, folks. It really looks like I'm doomed.

But I sure as hell don't feel sorry for myself.

In addition to the previous Arizona-incident post, there is this: "Violent storms in eastern US leave 3 million without power in sweltering heat; 13 killed" at http://news.yahoo.com/violent-storms-ea … 23003.html

And the ambulance just pulled up at my neighbor's house across the street.
