Count me in as I don't think we do nearly enough of this stuff and it may help us all out to gain traffic
It looks like fun and a good idea. I was there and have seen it can turnout to be a killer application.
Seriously though, this twitter thing can be valuable additions that can help many hubbers generate a little more traffic and adsense cash from our hubs.

I've just followed all 20 of you (ignored the ASL girl) and would appreciate people following me too.
Andre.
I'm now your 7th follower (http://twitter.com/pro5pero).
Thankyou Bard, I was your 69th, and it looks like Misha is your 70th!
Your right! I've 70 followers now. Although my experience tells me that they come and go, and the average is 66.
I don't mind that. I'm rather mercenary sometimes and often have a spring clean - anyone who follows me with thousands of followers behind them clearly is purely on a numbers and exposure game.
No one can follow the tweets of that many people, so they will use the facility purely as self promotion. They certainly are not genuinely interested in me.
I am not a big fan of Twitter, but I'd like to think that I am discerning with who I follow, and vice versa - that way I maintain the true ethos of the mechanism.
I find Twitter useful for topical and occasional banter, to broadcast a new blog post, a new article etc.
I also like to hear from people who have become my "virtual" acquantances and see what they are talking about.
But I will never, ever, accept a request to allow anyone to follow me who clearly is seeking an addition to the hundreds (thousands) of followers they already have. I can't get my head around that, and I certainly won't play that game.
Thanks for joining me on Twitter. I value that!
I agree Bard, I think people who go on a "fan" hunt are pathetic, they obviously don't have many real friends and so have to make up for it somehow!
It looks a bit strange, for all I know I'll get bored of it in a week.
Still not bored of Hubpages though
Here's a question, is Hubpages or any of the staff on Twitter?
I have a pleasant surprise and treet for you today.
Twitter Made Easy
You will be amazed at this very free system, it is viral and a ground floor opportunity as well.
Sorry TerryG, I don't agree with auto adding mechanisms like Tweeter Getter.
Sure, you can get loads of followers - if that's important to you.
I'd rather build my twitter followers because they know me, and want to follow me.
Likewise, I generally follow those whose profiles and tweets are of interest to me.
And I unfollow people whose tweets are mainly promotional stuff, or who tweet continually (ie 20 times a day) on every aspect of their dysfunctional lives.
And that reminds me -- I haven't really been on twitter for a few weeks!
Cheers, Eric G.

I agree Eric. If someone follows me who is a marketer I don't follow them. I am getting more hooked on Twitter though
If everything I see is marketing, I will not follow them back. If someone looks a bit interesting, I will follow them.
That is exactly how I feel about it.
I do see your point Eric and agree with the following views.
I suppose it's horses for courses really. That is - personal choice. I am the reverse where I do use it for marketing as well as buying. Most of my online purchases have been from Twitter.
I often feel apprehensive in following someone and have found I have attracted some other marketers that has been very beneficial. That has made me feel more comfortable.
Being a social site though, there are some who would love to have more followers and become more actively involved. I think this might have been Gary's motivation.
Hey Hubbers - It's nice that we're all following each other on Twitter - but shouldn't we also become fans of each other on HUB?????
Just a thought....Can't hurt.
Nancy
I try to fan people on HP once I've read at least one hub (and enjoyed it for one reason or another). You know, to be a genuine fan rather than just fanning to get fans. Once I'm following someone on twitter, I'll check out the hubs they tweet and fan them if I like them. Twitter following can lead to hub fanning for me.
Here's mine. I am caught up on all the reply's to this thread.

It's no where near as popular as Stephen Fry's twitter, that's the second largest in the world!

I am literally sick and tired of people who follow you, and then, when you follow them back, they promptly unfollow you. Really, people? What do you do when someone unfollows you shortly after you follow them? Do you hunt them down and unfollow them as well? Do you send them mail saying what they...

Ok... enough is enough. We hate the arbitrary hubber score. It is a phantom's judgement of us and the Q and A section does not give a clear cut way to effectively appease the phantom.Until you can give us an exact science (i.e. the way capitals and punctuation are used), it is not fair to stamp a...
