Dragons. I've always loved the mystery, wonder, and power of the dragon in forms both great and small. I see them as very honorable creatures.

I love the variety of dragons.  The look and ability of each dragon greatly depends on the region they come from.  I find this dynamic the most interesting part of the dragon's persona.

You just might!  If you love unicorns, watch the movie Legend with Tom Cruise.  It is a bit weird but is pretty much worships unicorns!

I have a soft spot for Cerberus the 3 headed dog-like creature who guards the entrance to Hades. A wonderfully hideous Greek invention. But I love all those mythological animals, from the Gorgon to the Kraken....beautiful, frightening, fantastic.

I could quite happily live in a world where these sort of creatures live, and where story reigns supreme.

Great answer!  Cerberus is definitely one of my favorites.  I played the game "Age of Mythology" growing up and it definitely made me fall in love with Greek mythical creatures like the Kraken, Minotaur and Centaur!

I have loved unicorns ever since I was a little girl. I think it's because they are so beautiful and are usually on the side of good. I guess it made me feel safe. I have several unicorn pictures, two of which have been up in my room for probably more than a decade. I have not seen all of "Legend", but I have seen the footage of the unicorns. I also love the gorgeous unicorn that is briefly in the movie "Stardust".

    The Unicorn.
Half horse and the horn does not bother me.
I think a unicorn would make a good friend and I know there are poems about them.
Unicorns are found on tapestry, on merry-go-rounds and I suppose if I ever opened a business I'd call it Uniquely Unicorns.
We read much about mythical creatures in College.
And kids don't seem to be afraid of unicorns.
It would be nice to polish the horn and I could use the horn to grab things, but not for fighting.
They come in every size, shape, and form.

Ever since I was a little girl, the Phoenix has always been my number one. It fascinates me.Also is a source of inspiration. Death/rebirth, re inventing it self out of it's own ashes.

Are not dragons real though. I am thinking mythical means fairytale, folklore. I could be wrong.

Anyway I would have to say unicorns. I wrote a poem about them.

However I believe they are real and are in their own private space and will re enter the world when all is right with the world.

They are known for their horns to heal, however they were hunted and not in a good way. They are magical, loving, spiritual creatures.

Phoenix. I had one tattooed during a bad time in my life as a reminder of the story and as inspiration. Also like dragons and unicorns.

    Fairies!
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a fairy. At 18 years old I got my fairy tattoo and still now I'm always curious about their mysterious being.

Pegasus.  Though I don't think it's mythical.  I think we took a wrong turn at Jupiter and ended up in the wrong place.  A place where Pegasus realized "I'm in the wrong place, see ya!"  And flew off. I fly on Pegasus in my dreams so I know it's real!

    Can´t believe nobody said GRIFFIN!

They are like half eagle, half lion... So that makes them the king of the beast and the king of the birds. They guard treasures, eat dragons and use unicorns as toothpicks!

Besides, Harry Potter rode one, Yeah!

My son's favorite mythical creature is Hydra, the seven-headed dragon that when one head was being slayed, another two heads will appear. And the only one that could kill Hydra is through  Medusa, the snake-headed woman .
