      I like that they're planning to use the money to help children affected by wars.. lol derp. They should have handed it to Malala Yousafzai.

    Only if you take the Nobel Peace Prize seriously.  The EU deserves it just as much as Obama ever did.

      So far the EU has been involved in war with Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan Iran among others... Obama as well. The nobel prize is supposed to reward peaceful initiatives or projects that celebrate and promote peace. It is not the case anymore! I'm wondering what Nobel would think of the misuse of his caritative organization!

        Ah, it's that "really we are the good guys, myth" The fact that they have obtained such an accolade doesn't worry me that much, but the fact that some people will actually believe that EU works for peace.
