There is a God and only one God.  He is all good, merciful and just.  We should not only consider proof when trying to find God because His being transcends our minds.  If you were to consider the idea of any 'good' in humanity, do you think it possible for 'good' to only come from humans?  No.  Every action that man has done out of his conscious will lead to something worse because man is innately evil.  But let us consider democracy, a foundation based on the natural rights from the Enlightenment (Hobbes), a Christian-based government.  Although we may have taken advantage of some aspects of government, democracy is the strongest government now and it was based on Christian-Protestant principles.  I hope this will help inspire you to consider and eventually come to realize God.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS CHAPTER ONE. IT IS WRITTEN GOD CREATED ALL THINGS.WE RECEIVE THIS BY FAITH THAT HE CREATED ALL THINGS.THE PROBLEM COMES WHEN WE CHOOSE TO DO THINGS TO DO EVIL.HE CREATED US WITH FREE WILL AND CHOICES.A LOT OF US DO ALL KINDS OF THINGS NOT THINKING OF THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS....ETC. SO IN ORDER TO BE A CREATOR HIS PERSONALITY IS ALL.BUT REMEMBER HIS VIEW IS NOT OUR HUMAN VIEW POINT.WE AS HUMANS LOOK AT THINGS FROM ONE POINT.BUT GOD TAKES ALL SIDES OF THAT VIEW.PROOF LOOK AT THE COMPLEXITY OF ALL THAT IS PRODUCED WITHOUT MANS INVOLVEMENT...BY FAITH WE RECEIVE THIS INPUT.IT KEEPS THE MIND AT PEACE.ENJOY THE JOURNEY.

Yes, of course there is a God. The one and only true God. I suggest you take a Bible Study in order to learn more. There are lots of free ones available: try http://www.ptbi.net i think, or it could be http://www.ptbi.com
Reading your Bible can also enlighten you on many questions.

good question!!! the one can't exist without the other...the quandary of the dialectic....
    but...we are given a choice...always...as u can see...that is how I know that there is a god...
I agree with u in that we don't truly grasp the nature of god....but that is beside the point...that is where faith comes in to play...
u see the grey because u see the melding of black and white...and u r right in assuming that much cloudiness and crossing of lines has occured...this has purposely been done to us all by the forces that seek to control us...
listen to your heart my friend...sort it out for yourself...u know what is right...u can feel truth...

no one can stand between u and god my man...it is of the spirit all about u and within u....
ur soul searching and seek the truth....make the right decisions and u will find the truth...it is within u...u needent search further...
get in touch with yourself and u will find what u seek...
I hope that I have lent some clarity to your inquiry...if i have further confused u i sincerely apologize...it is difficult to relay feelings through words...it is the burden endured by writers...

all I can say man is....the truth lies within u...it is a feeling we can sense but with difficulty express...

i hope these words can provide u with pause...to consider..
I can only hope that they provide u with a moment's peace...
the divine spark lies within u close to your heart...there is a battle for your soul...your spirit....but it is yours to maintain and protect...don't sell it...no one can take it from u...keep it and cherish it close to your heart...

those who would lie to you and confuse you are minions of darkness...more often than not they are unwitting because they have lost touch with the power within and given it over to darkness...

live in the light my man...it is up to u to shine that light...

for now I wish u peace and love and power and hope that u would call me brother...it's a matter of balance...the darkness will exist but u can bring it into balance with the light....

                                peace

First off, I want to answer in a way that I hope will open your eyes to the truth. There is only one truth.
    1. It is so obvious that not only is there God but who God is.
    2. The fact that we all die is proof that the Bible is the only ONE truth to show us all the way.
    3. See we all die. And in the beginning of the Bible it states how we all came to be in this predicament. Why we are the way we are. It is because of sin. Sin is what Adam and Eve committed, thus, it changed their DNA that went from perfection, to imperfection. It is why we all were born into sin, and though death came to us through Adam, ( Sin) was conquored through God's Son, Jesus, who came in the flesh. This is predicted in the old Testament about the coming of the Messiah to free all who would accept Him. The New Testament describes His coming. His birth and His death on the cross for all our sins that were passed onto us through Adam and Eve. Jesus, being God in the flesh, ( We were created in His image)is the only One who did not sin, so He was God's sacrifice for us. His body was vunerable like us in so He knows our sufferings and even our temptations. What a friend! All who do not accept Jesus Christ personally, as God's Son and our only way into Heaven after we die, will be eternally going to Hell to be seperated from God forever. But some will only think of the Bible as some fairy tale or myth. It is so sad but it is Man's only road to salvation past this life on Earth. I advise you read the Bible. Our very imperfection tells us the truth. But many will not believe it.

The God of all gods, the Creator is without evil.  Just because there is a god of evil doesn't mean God is evil.  Because God is not evil, He won't allow evil to live with Him forever in eternity.  That's why the evil god is here, not there.

The evil god (Satan) will not be around forever.  Neither will we.  God created us to rule over all the earth, but we gave that rulership to Satan when we let him tell us what to do and we did it.  God came to us to pay the price for our wrong-doing and took the authority back from Satan when He died on the cross.

Man still gives authority to Satan when man doesn't give his life back to the rulership of God.  When Christ comes, and it will be soon, all evil has to go to evil's reserved place, away from God forever.  Those who accepted the payment for their sin through Jesus Christ and made Him Lord will be able to live with God forever.

Man is in control of his destiny.  Choose life or choose death.  There is no in between.  God is not evil.  That's the answer to your question.  God be with you as you continue to search and receive His truth.

The short answer is yes there is a God.  I think what you are looking for is proof of that statement.  I have a hub page article that addresses this (It is kind of lengthy to post here). Stop by and read it if you get a chance.  It may help.
