Does having a brand new expensive car make you proud?

And makes you think others are useless creatures and you can drive as you want?

Have you noticed this behavior in others?

I am a "basics" sort of a person ... a car to me is the practical way of travelling from point A to point B ... instead of walking miles ... to work ... or groceries.

Once, an idiot swished past me after rains, in his brand new expensive car ... soiling my clothes with puddle water ... It took me a while, but I caught up with him, and gave him my views about him ... telling him, what I thought of him ... in very unambiguous terms.

That wraps my views on Expensive and Brand new cars, and idiots.

I think it would if it was paid for.  Having a nice car but making huge payments would ruin the experience for me.  If I had that much money to spend, I would more likely buy land.

I have owned several new cars over the years.  They dont mean a thing to me.  I once owned a 1963 dodge Valiant 4-door car i bought for $35 dollars.  I put another $35 dollars into it because the rear end gears were bad.  I drove that car for at least ten years and I even took it on long vacation trips to florida (from st louis missouri).  I really miss my old '63 valliant.... New cars don't make me feel proud, but some people do appear to act that way when they drive agressively (speeding, weaving lanes, and tailgating), I agree. Maybe they are not pridefull... just in a hurry.

Not really...Driving my own car makes me proud. It doesn't matter what type of car you drive, as long as you are comfortable driving it.

Most people who drive brand new cars around where I'm from are jerks. Always cutting people off and running red lights. I've always thought it would be cool to drive a new car it would make me feel like I've achieved something by being able to afford one. I'm glad to just drive I don't care if my car is new or not.

    Hi

Yes, of course. I would obviously feel proud coz it would be my own possession as a result of my hard work and dedication.

Nope. I'm prouder of the fact that I have been driving the same beat-up old truck for eleven years. I have no car payments. My car taxes and insurance are dirt cheap.  I would not trade that for all of the remote keyless entry, satellite radio,  and power windows in the world.

*giggles* well this question should only target to those actually have the new expensive car isn't it?

Those not having it can say either way is good but what about opinion that really have new expensive car. It could be that it doesn't make them proud because of the maintenance and car loan pay back .

    Penny for a thought
