I believe there is life as microbes on Mars. We will have to send  probes capable of digging deeper into the soil to find it since there is evidence of water on Mars. Where there is water most likely there is life as microbes. The atmosphere on Mars is too thin and contains predominantly carbon dioxide (about 95% compare to the 0.04% level in earth's atmosphere) to support complex life as we understand it.

I don't think so.  There may have been life, some time ago.  I don't think there is enough atmosphere to sustain anything.

While doing research for a hub about manned exploration of Mars I found that there is evidence that microbial life could still be in existence under the surface of Mars, where it has been proven water exists.
NASA has discovered Methane leaking from vents in the Martian surface, which is oftentimes and indicator of life. I believe there is some form on life on the planet, but I guess we won't know for sure until we get some subterranean samples or send a Manned Mission to Mars!

NASA has confirmed evidence of microbes on Mars. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/spac … e-mud.html

They are soon to seek aquatic life on an ocean of Europa. http://www.spacetoday.org/SolSys/Jupite … ceans.html

Are they covering up evidence of more advanced life forms? Probably :-). Here's a hub: http://santacruz.hubpages.com/hub/Life- … NASA-Knows
