life should be very precious to everybody
from my opinion give priority to your own life first then look after another
but it depends on you how you'll be treated
as a girl i should treat my parents like they should be on top of my world i shouldn't say anything bad to them
and for my children i will give my whole hearty love to them.
and yes it should be useful to others

i try to listen when some one needs a listener. I offer sound advice when they need it. I give comfort where it is needed. I try to be a peacemaker though i dont always succeed. I give food to those in need and clothes or blankets as well. i try to be whatever others need me to be for them.

It is not in the capacity of everybody to get out of the shackles of love of their own life and do something in a big way for others. Few succeed that way, and then at the cost of a personal life, family and many other little pleasures. I appreciate their courage. For me, to be useful to others is a more day to day affair in the smaller circle of acquaintances, friends and sometimes complete strangers I meet on the street. It is just lending an ear to a friend, colleague, the house-help or the lady at the grocery store- patiently listen to the trouble they may have, or the joy they may want to share. Sometimes there will be that little request - phone number of a good pediatric, or a legal adviser and  I can effortlessly hand over. Sometimes, when I am taking a cab to the office and the cab driver is woe-begone about some hassle with the traffic police and I call up a friend who is in the department and request to help out. Sometimes when there has been a row over some minor misunderstanding between a team member and the HR and I step in and mediate to ease out the feelings, leaving both parties happy and reconciled. Finally, whenever I can I will save and give that little something, in old toys, clothes, blankets, some money to the needy- through those I know will take the trouble to take it to those to whom it will matter.

I make my family smile and laugh every single day. That alone is enough for me to say that my life is useful.

I have been very lucky with my life and as an expat travelled to over 12 countries without any problems. But here at home in Turkey due to my trusting what I thought was my best Turkish friend I lost both my money and my car. In view of this no matter how much you trust someone who you think is a friend, never lend them money without a legal guarantee that you will be able to get it back. Just as a word of warning in Turkey cheques are only valid for 10 days from the date written on them. Due to my not knowing this I had virtually no chance of getting my money back.  I have a piece of paper next to my computer that says. Think Positive. I do as there are thousands of people worse of than me.
