What do you wish you were better at?

Do you know what it would take to get better at it?

I'm in the same boat as you on this one. I need to find some beginner informational books and DVDs as well as some classes that would help me out.

I wish I was better at photography.  I enjoy a beautiful photograph and appreciate the skill behind it.  To get better at it, I think I would need to take a class and get a better camera with more features.

Also try the library. They frequently have photography books and DVD's worth checking out. If noting else, they're free for the trying out and you get to return them when you're done. So you're not tied to anything just to get started.

Using my hands, focusing, and memorization. Something I build wouldn't fall down, I could focus on every detail, and remember everything.

This could open you up to so many possibilities. Have you checked out the hardware stores lately? They have books and magazines with all kinds of projects and they have classes that are either free or for a nominal fee.

No. I have not. And if I go to a hardware store, I walk out with a book on gardening or patios. Yet I don't have a home!

I want very much to be an artist, but frankly it is not a natural talent and I have really pursued it.

Well don't give up trying. Even if you only pursue artistic endeavors for your own enjoyment, it's well worth the effort.

I meant to say, I haven't really pursued it.  My typing could use some classes as well.

I wish I were better at finishing things I started.  I have so many art projects that I believe have "failed" and never finished them.  I want to push through to the end I just have to stay motivated and not give up! smile

Yes! I have that same "affliction."  Or I begin projects and they don't quite come up to the picture I had in my head and I just stop working on them instead of pushing through to finish.  If you can a cure for this - let me know--LOL

I really wished I possessed an artistic ability. I literally cringe at the thought of having to conduct art projects. It was one of the only subjects in school that I couldn't stand.

I wish I could be a novelist, but that was just a dream. I don't have talent when it comes to descriptive writing smile. But I am not losing hope either. Who knows thru hubpages I could improve my writings.

One of the way I learned more about descriptive writing was to analyze a book I really love. I would take it apart (figuratively) and when I read a passage that showed me a room or a landscape, I studied it to see what it was that drew me in etc.

I wish I was more creative and that my IQ was higher so that I could figure out was my niche is, and how to make money on the internet. Not just a few dollars here and there, but enough to retire on.

I wish I was better at writing, I'm not bad and really haven't shown off my work but I'm never going to give up. Its a passion of mine, and every-time I read I want to write my own stories and show the world that there is something great in my head for all to see.

I wish I was better at making decisions. It is so hard for me to make decisions because I feel like if I decide for one option, I will miss out on something for not having chosen the other option.

I wish I was better at drawing! I know I just need a lot of study and practice to improve, and I am constantly putting in effort to get better.

I would like to be a better pianist....I mean, I am alright, but I'm not great at it or anything.....some people can play so beautifully.

It would be great to play the piano for a living, I know I would love doing that. Maybe one day, I will be good enough to do it, who knows?

Earning money on the internet - I always hear about how good other people are at it, and thought it would be easy, but it's not.  I could earn more money road sweeping!
