   Daylight savings is a very good idea.  China does not participate in daylight savings, and during the time of year that most other countries switch their times, the Chinese farmers are still getting up early in the morning and working for hours while barely being able to see a thing because it's so dark.
   
   China has proven to me that yes, daylight savings is a good idea.

      Makes sense.  Daylight savings is definitely very valuable for farmers! As for me, I'd rather have my extra hour of light at 6pm instead of 6am

   Years ago, when I lived in Arizona, the state did not switch to Daylight Savings time. I never knew the difference. I suppose it is a good idea for most or "they" would not do it. For me, it is just something else to worry about twice a year. Sometimes I forget to reset my clocks and I wake up too early or too late, depending on whether it is Fall or Spring . . . but that's just me.

      Yep! I definitely have done that. We still tease my grandparents about the time daylight savings was on Easter and they showed up to Church jsut in time for the egg hunt after Mass.

   i think it is a fine idea...especially in the fall when we get the hour "back". i am not so fond of it in the spring, though, when we have to give the hour up! it never ceases to amaze me how that one little hour can throw me off so much! blessings!

   Daylight saving is bad idea . in Egypt, we get shocked every time we do it. after 25 January revolution we do not change the time

      Interesting.  Sounds like this is a more confusing question than I thought - half the world changes their clocls and half don't!

   Good question and I'm utterly unsure. In Hawaii it isn't recognized at all and none is the worse for it. But now that I'm in Anchorage it is....but I'm kinda leaning towards pointless.

      I could see both Hawaii and Alaska as places it would be less needed - its usually sunny in Hawaii, and AK is going to be subject to lottttts of light in summer and lottttts of dark in winter regardless of daylight savings.
