Yes, I do. Many very clever people are also those who experience unprecedented stress when taking those tests. Under such anxiety, people's brains block and they cannot think at all. I've been through that and so has my daughter. In the end such people's true knowledge may not be displayed, thus a false IQ score.
Maybe to a certain extent. But they can be learned and if you practice them, you are likely to very well when you do a new IQ test.
Well that's one good way to look at it.
They only rate certain aspects, not entirely intelligence. A child who is good at reading will rate higher on the IQ test than a child who isn't a strong reader.
@Iburmaster
I'm with you on your first sentence. Your 2nd sentence is quite obvious. (no point intended) So do you suggest a broadening of the aspects?
For there to be intelligence tests created for their full potential, we would have to define intelligence. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened and there are many opinions about the types of intelligence that exist.
I think IQ tests are accurate as far as they can go . . . such as how does one measure wisdom that comes from age, common sense that comes from living and good judgment that comes from having made both good and bad decisions? Perhaps IQ tests are the measure by which we determine who among us is "book smart" but I should think the same test would fail miserably ascertaining who among us is wise. Intense question -- interesting!
@Angela Blairs
How does one measure wisdom that comes from age? Great question. Which brings me to my finalization that one can't. (in my opinion)
The structure of the of an IQ test has little to do with wisdom, religion, politics, art, music etc.

What does having an IQ above 145 mean? Are these people really 'genius'?

Do people of average intelligence(90-100 IQ) unnerve & scare you? Why?

Do standardized tests determine who will be successful?As a former music teacher I noticed that a week or two before standardized tests all classes/recess were cancelled to cram test ?'s and answers to the test. Does this really prove what kids have learned or how successful they will be in life?
