What were YOUR PARENTS' attitude towards work and achievement and how
did your parents attitude influence YOU in that regard?
Interesting. My grandfather dropped out of high school in 8th grade. He was from a farming family and had six siblings. Yet that didn't stop him from becoming very successful and earning a six figure wage later in life. He managed 400 employees. (Different times then. The same job today would require a degree.) He raised me. He was a farmer, so obviously hard work ethic followed. But he was also a career man for a corporation. He woke up at 4 a.m. to tend the animals, went to work, and came home at dinner time.
We always ate the family table together. He taught me to never quit and pursue my dreams. He said work hard, do your best, always reach for your goals. He also taught me I could be anything I wanted to be. Opportunity was always there. I just had to be determined to go for the goal. He was also very structured and stuck by routine, which has helped me in life as well.
