What's the deal with a degree in Marketing Communications?
It sounds like a pretty specific degree. I've found it at a few schools; the biggest is Emerson College, and I would like to go here. The only thing giving me second thoughts is the fact that I don't know what I can do with a Marketing Comm degree in comparison with a basic communication B.S.
A marketing communications degree is specifically focused on the aspects of advertising, vendor relationships, and the strategies to implement to increase profitability. It is tailored to focus on marketing action plans and how to analyze them for future strategies. A basic BS degree in communications would cover all aspects of communications giving you a broad scope of information on different applications. Hope that helps.

What's a Bachelor's degree really worth these days?

What's more important these days, a good education or work experience? With so many college graduates having little experience and so few jobs available, how will they fare? I still say getting the degree is most important.
