Is it true that all of us are thieves minus the opportunity and what to steal?
Can you steal with an opportunity and what to steal?
I don't think so. There are definitely some people who will steal given the opportunity, and they may steal for a variety of reasons such as poverty/desperation, jealousy, or selfishness/greed.
However, there are also many honest, good folks who have enough to get by and are content with what they have. Also, most of us are responsible members of society who just know that theft is wrong, that you are getting something by taking advantage of others.
Interesting question. I don't think so. While it depends on the item in question and the necessity of that item for the person, everyone makes a choice. Some people would choose to the right thing, regardless of what is laid out before them.
@Stargrrl It is true some people will never ever commit crime whatever the circumstances. There are those who will steal even if they will do nothing with the stolen property. They may end up throwing the stolen property as they had no use for it.
It is not true, assuming by all of us you mean humanity. Painting everyone with a broad brush is seldom the right thing to do because there are always exceptions. However what is said in Romans 3:23, "all have sinned" is the one time it is absolutely accurate to do so. The broad brush of sin certainly covers all of humanity with the only exception to that broad statement of truth being Jesus Christ who was more than human, an exception without which he could not have paid the price for our sins.
When Jesus died on that cross He not only took our sin, but he BECAME our sin. In those minutes or hours He spent on that cross He felt every pain, every sorrow, every fear that sin brings to your life. He knows what we struggle with on a daily basis and He also knows that you can overcome it! How do you overcome it? By repenting of your sin and believing in the one true God and asking Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior.
This is actually a great answer to this question. It is our sinful self that prompts us to steal when an opportunity arises. I agree that I put this question assuming that all humans behave in the same way. We have those who have been washed CLEAN
Hard question to answer. I know that under normal circumstances I would never steal. However if I was hungry and had no other option my survival instinct may override my sense of right and wrong. I would hope it would never come to that, considering I know that stealing is a sin.

If there was no life after this one, would people strive as hard to be "good"?
