Is the answer to this question no?

Just go ahead and give it a try.  This is meant to be a dialogue on the inherent vulnerabilities of language.  Some of you know what I'm talking about, others may get pissed that I am using this forum for something as apparently mundane as this.  Those in the latter group have failed to grasp the actual question.  Try harder.

    funny... :-)

The answer is I don't know, or more precisely, I cannot know.

"Thit sentence is not self-referential because 'thit' is not a word"

Language is like an exoskeleton, which approximates so crudely what it's attached to, that actually words and sentences can't even approximate that actual truth of a thing - but at least language can be used to explain that language is useless "I know that I don't know"

Funny, how since forever, whole systems of thought and belief are based on the fallacy of language - billions of people though the centuries have died for the sake of a misunderstanding.... The Sanskrit idea of the Matrika Shakti, the veiling power of language...

@ED: that is exactly right.  Nice work.  To be honest, I was hoping for some more unintelligible ramblings before someone came in and knocked it out of the park.  Far be it from me to blame you for being intelligent. Thanks for the answer!

Sorry for messing up the game. What you seek isn't too far away on Hubpages...lol, and quite frighteningly so...

Is it possible to answer the question? Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear poop in the woods? Do redheads have tempers? Do low scoring hubbers try to answer questions like these with mundane and rambling answers? Do they even understand the question? How many non-answers do you want to hear?

" Stupid is as stupid does ".. and what is wrong with answering a question with a question ?
It is part of my genetic background...
