What are your thoughts on this?

Moving the dates for each season one month forward.  Each year for the past, oh ten years or more, I have begun to nntice that when the calendare says it is the frist day of the new season it isn't always so according to the weather.  I think that they should move it up one month to give a truer dated of that first day of the new season.  Like First day of Sping should start Aoril 21, instead on March and so on.  It just makes more sense that way to go by weather conditions than old calendar dates.

The seasonal dates coincide with astronomical events and the original Pagan Esbats and Sabbats. Spring, for example, is on March 20th coinciding with the Spring Equinox or Ostara. In fact, most religious holidays today are simply Pagan holidays with a Christian spin.

I understand that....but the earth and seasons seem tohave change by one month.

Wendi is correct. The dates coincide with the equinoxes, so I don't think there is any chance of their being moved. I have noticed that the seasons seem to have move by about a month. People call me crazy when I say this, but there has been a couple of minor polar shifts, and I think this is what has caused the shift in seasons. I wonder how polar shifts are affecting equinoxes, if at all? A more major one that I keep reading about has been predicted by I'm not sure whom, scientists or psychics, or both. If that prediction comes true, there will be a major climate change that could kill off most life on earth. In that case, I guess we wouldn't have to worry about the seasons.

Good observations and questions.  The poles can only shift so much.  The Earth is on a rubber band type of axis and eventually it will spring back into what it was before.  I don't believe in predictions. Weathermen cant predict the weather for tomor

I think if that is done then the weather will change and move back again.
