Why do some people's answers although intelligent, valid, logical & conclusive in its premise

receive such negative feedback?   What is the determinant in answers receiving negative feedback although such answers are intelligent in scope & voted UP?  Why are some people that blindsided to only consider answers/opinions that are similar to theirs although maturity decrees that different answers/opinion doesn't mean that the answer/opinion is invalid? There have been so many intelligent answers that have received negative feedback for no discernible reason except that the answers didn't settle well with the readership in the  Q&A section.

People have a hard time fitting a new idea into their current mental schemas of things. Internalizing a new schemata, that allows for a new approach to seeing things, is hard for most people.
This all makes it easy to simply dismiss someone else's approach to a subject.
