Why are average Democrats & Republicans against each other when Democratic & Republican POWERS THAT
BE only ACT as they are against each other when in actuality, they are VERY CORDIAL against each other w/a few being the VERY BEST OF FRIENDS? When will average Americans realize that politics is a chess game w/ them being the political pawns? Really, wake up Americans & smell the coffee.
The biased or partisan media inflames people into separating into bias tribes they think exist at all levels, when as you pointed out, it really isn't the case.
Well, if someone is willing to be a pawn, what should someone do about it?
As a species humans are the same level of socially and emotionally mature as they were thousands and thousands of years ago. Heck, we as a species may be less mature now due to all of our high tech distractions and material comforts.
It used to be that people had to bust their tails all day to ensure they had basic needs. And even then there were fears it wouldn't rain, and so the crops wouldn't grow. Or were you to do everything perfect, you still had to worry were the Romans coming to kill and enslave everyone. Or the Mongols. So forth and so on.
In the USA today you simply don't have to worry about foreign invasion or starvation due to drought. We're still genetically programmed to worry about such things though. So when the worries of our ancestors and genetics aren't real anymore, we make up new crap to worry about. Those are my theories, anyway.
Liberals have branded themselves as peace, love, tolerance, rational, educated, smart, good. There are several reasons:
* it gives them an excuse to dismiss all contrary views as stupid/bad/evil
* it demonizes everyone with a contrary opinion as inferior
* it gives people a reason to join the "liberal" group - an idiot is considered smart over the conservative because he's liberal, it lets the freaking out SJW say they are more rational than someone making a reasoned argument on a topic
* it gives someone a mantle of morality even as they commit atrocities, as the group of white and hispanic liberals beating up a homeless black woman for defending Trump's star on the boardwalk could say she was guilty of hate and deserved the beating, along with many other similar assaults
* it lets liberals blame the victims of their assaults for instigating it by saying the victim started it with their "hate speech"

I find this topic most disturbing as it is a reflection of the goals and aspirations of the American Right wing movement. There is no such thing as it being "fringe" as Trump, Carlson and many Republican Senators avoided direct answers or said that the Orbanz authoritarian regime in...

In my opinion, yes - the Republican Party no-longer exists today even though Trump followers incorrectly refer to themselves as Republicans.Let me open this discussion with a short tutorial of the Republican Party (now keep in mind, the Party title has no bearing on the Party philosophy and any...

I watched and I was very impressed with Vivek Ramaswamy. I think he would be the perfect running mate for Donald Trump! He was confident and consistently conservative. I do like Tim Scott, but he may be too nice. ?? My favorite Gov fell short, but I still love DeSantis. It is still early...
