    Ravi, thank you very much for sharing this information. I've never heard of this continent, but it sounds fascinating. As you mentioned in your article that the Tamil poet Nakkeerar described the Kumari Kandam as a fertile land overflowing with milk, honey, and riches. There were large mountain ranges with 48 high peaks and nine rivers running through them. I don’t know if it is a myth or not but I really wish such a land existed in reality; it sounds like Jannat (heaven) smile

    Ravi, this is indeed fascinating. A lost/submerged continent that would have joined Indian, Madagascar and Australia. That it is mentioned so many times in historical texts make one wonder.

    I’ve heard about Lemuria before, but I didn’t know that it was also referred to as Kumari Kandam. There are a lot of mysteries in the ocean. It’s intriguing to think about them. Thanks for creating another interesting article, Ravi.
