This is a very interesting account of a treasure chest hunt. I like to believe there was a treasure chest and somebody did find it because the owner said he was sad the chase was over. Well, that's my viewpoint. Thanks for sharing, Ravi.

Thanks Pamela for highlighting Ravi's work

    Ravi...
I've heard about this treasure before & it's very intriguing.
I can just imagine all the people who tried to find it.

I wish you would've posted the whole poem.
If I had lived closer...I definitely would have tried my hand at finding it.

A very interesting article, Ravi. Your fascinating articles never fails to amaze me. I enjoyed reading it, but I also discovered a clue not in the poem's snippet but in the body of your article. As you said that the FBI failed, and not even Fenn's wife was aware of the location, I believe the treasure chest never existed. Because if it existed, I am certain his wife would be aware of that. Lol!

Who knows maybe he was just trying to grab his wife's attention.... Just kidding!! wink

Thank you for sharing. And also thanks to Pamela for creating this forum discussion.

Have a great day. Blessings to both of you smile

Ravi has created an interesting article, as always. It’s so sad that people died trying to find Finn’s treasure, especially if it didn’t really exist. I wonder how Linda Bilyeu is doing now. She wrote for HubPages but has no recent activity.
